Flus gets his first back to back wins Cards-Falcons, loses everything else. Maybe one upset. 5/6 wins picking somewhere between 4-8 with a top 2 pick from Carolina.

Unless you‘re going “any given Sunday,” the Cards are the only “winnable” game on this schedule. The bears had Jordan Love looking like a future HOFer in week 1. And the only reason I give them a chance against the Cards is because it’s a home game in December against a warm weather dome team.

We all want a new HC/OC, right? Well, a new HC/OC should get to pick their QB. If they decide that’s Fields, ok. If they decide it’s Williams or Maye, I’m fine with that, too. But the new coaches deserve to pick their QB in 2024 because 2025 is looking like shit.

I think both sides would be dumb to make that trade. Herbert is a proven franchise QB, Williams and Maye are unproven but have more upside. If you’re the bears, you go with the rookie QB contract window, if you’re the chargers you stick with your franchise QB.

MANDELBAUM! MANDELBAUM! MANDELBAUM!

Last second FG wins it in Murray’s return to the Cardinals. Packers lose and the Bears win. Pretty good weekend to be a Bears fan.

Even in hindsight, this is still a terrible take. Stroud is obviously looking like he’s a top tier QB for years to come, but taking him means we don’t get DJ Moore, we don’t get Darnell Wright, and we don’t get the Panthers 2024 first which will likely give us the rights to Williams, Maye, or both.

This sub is so fucking dumb. In the entire history of the NFL, there have been just 4 first ballot HOF WRs. The Lions drafted one of them in 2007. In 2008, he had 1,300 + yards and led the league in TDs, and the Lions became the first team to go 0-16. Show me a first ballot HOF QB that led the league in TDs and finished with a league worst record. I don’t care if MHJ is a generational talent at WR, his position doesn’t warrant using the first overall pick to get him. I’m not sold on Williams (or Maye, or Fields), but any GM dumb enough to take MHJ with the first pick needs to be fired immediately. Keep Fields And trade down, draft Williams, draft Maye, I don’t really care. The one thing I do know is that the dumbest move this team can make is taking MHJ first overall.
