You can say no to the face scan at those. The TSA agents don't get paid enough to try to convince you otherwise and just say "okay." The amount of people just willingly scanning their faces for whatever nefarious bullshit they want to scan faces for does not surprise me, but does cause me dismay

Most social media websites such as Youtube, Tiktok and the like will demonitize or hide your content if you post a word they don't like. It's a draconian policy that has spread like wildfire for some reason, mostly because everyone who uses those sites just rolls over and lets it happen instead of just leaving and using different sites that don't tell how you are allowed to express yourself
