Hey, Atticus! Good to see you playing one of the games that really opened my eyes to PC gaming!

I do believe the painting is the Count himself, and like StoveTop said, maybe supposed to be way before he became a vampire, or made to not look like one!

I'm about to finish up the Fighter's Guild questline, and then for the main game, all I will have left is the story mode. After that, I can finally do my favorite part, The Shivering Isles!

Love to see people enjoy this "classic"! (my knees cracked typing that one, oof.)

It's okay. I know reading and understanding text can be a little hard sometimes. Maybe this will help?

It does look like there is a much bigger cage in the background. Either way, thank you for the very in-depth explanation for hamsters. I literally had no idea (never wanted one, but they are very cute), so now I know what to look for if I ever meet someone who has one! Cheers!

yawns

And now you definitely won't be getting any left leaning policy for quite a long time. That plan worked out very well, didn't it?! Now people are getting sent to death camps left and right, your food will now be poisoned, the air you breathe will now be poisoned, the rich are getting yet another tax break under orange mussolini, and here you people are, still trying to make yourselves feel better for a dumbass decision. It would be impressive, if not for the reality of the situation being because of dumbasses who couldn't be bothered to vote, I ALSO have to suffer. So, to anyone who didn't vote, voted for Trump, or voted for third party (heard anything from Jill Stein, yet? LOL), I give a hearty

FUCK. YOU.

I forget what video I watched that explained this, but it essentially said:

"The audio mixing is correct. It is mixed for full surround sound, like those you see in home theaters (probably the very expensive setups!) and actual theaters. There is no reason to have dual-mixed sound, one for those with stereo speakers and one for the surround sound setups, so they don't."

Right... but their point was breaking in without a warrant, which means illegal. And with how the current regime is handling things, you might as well go out standing for your rights than to be thrown to the el salvador meat grinder.

Every time someone points out that we have what we have because people couldn't be bothered to show up to vote (there's even some proof!), they always always come out to downvote and try to say that Dems didn't personally roll out a red carpet for them to wine and dine them.

It'd be funny if Kamala had won, but with the reality they allowed, it's quite sad and very embarrassing. Total delusional mentality.

P.S. I know that dems suck, and have been sucking. The choice was HITLER/PUTIN wannabe, or samey samey, with a little sprinkle of better plans than Biden. She even had a website that outlined what her goals were. While Trump, again, just blathered and drooled onto his podium.

Fools, the ones who allowed us here, but fools are hard to get looking at the bigger picture.

Yeah, normally I'd just say how stupid they are, but this is a time where they are both stupid AND trying to make their base think that's what the definition ACTUALLY is. You shall soon see MAGAts walking around saying that the definition is what she said.

[–] LucidNightmare@lemm.ee 16 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Why does everyone seem to think she got it wrong? This is what they want it to mean. And we should all know by now, that when they start stoking these little thoughts into their base, it becomes a reality for them.

Still, she is stupid as fuck though, and a soulless ghoul. Just don't mistake this "definition" for stupidity.

Imagine getting people to eat (slightly, if anything) healthier because you are now more expensive than the actual freshly cooked food around your location.

As always, corpos have the biggest of brains.

[–] LucidNightmare@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

Definitely. Took all that time and tinkering to get rid of ~~their urges~~ wOkE pRoPaGaNdA!

[–] LucidNightmare@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago

Mine too. Been tinkering with Linux since I was a lad, sudo apt get / sudo apt update is ingrained into my brain.

Now, after running openSUSE Tumbleweed, sudo zypper ref / sudo zypper dup

Still a Linux noob, but I have never loved an operating system more than I have openSUSE. :)

Hey, all!

I've been manually importing each and every video I download from YouTube into my setup for Plex/Jellyfin, manually changing the date to the correct day it was uploaded, manually copy and pasting the description (if it has one that matters, and not just some links to websites or whatever. More so the ones that say "join me today as we go through this old series and learn more about the..." stuff like that), and even manually setting the thumbnail/"poster" for the video. I've been using JDownloader2 for this, as it is GUI (pretty necessary for me, but I am willing to see what else people recommend!) based and works really well.

This was fine for awhile, because I was just doing a video here and there. Last week, I downloaded an entire playlist, and am now seeing that my method is very, very, very cumbersome for what I have downloaded now. I did go through a few of them to manually import, and will continue to do so on my days I am too tired to do much else, but I wanted to ask this wonderful community on better methods. Hopefully, we can get my methods more refined and less manual!

I saw this, and it looks good. I also know about Pinchflat , and was really excited for that one, but alas, my TrueNAS Scale did not like that very much! (permissions issue I am sure, but I've already fought with the permissions on TrueNAS Scale, and I just don't know what the hell it wants from me, but oh well!)

Pinchflat looks more like what I'd need, but I also like to see what other more experienced people might've found or any recommendations they may have!

Thank you for taking the time to read and help! :)

Kagi is now beginning development for Orion on Linux! It's a webkit based browser, which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I am ecstatic to see something other than another freaking Chromium browser!

Recently came up on my discovery channel. The part near the end where the lyrics say "You're slaving for a burger with some cheese" really gave me some goosebumps.

EDITED: Change link to proper article instead of a stupid video, and changed associated text to match new URL.

Disgusting, in my opinion.

This quote popped up the other day, and I just wanted to share it. With everything going on in the world right now, and especially in my country personally, I can't help but wonder why I have always strove to be good and to do my best for not only myself, but everyone I have ever met. Maybe when I'm lying there dying from whatever is to come, I will fully regret being a "good" person.

Hello, all!

I have recently gotten into playing FromSoftware's older titles, namely King's Field and Shadow Tower: Abyss.

It's all thanks to a Youtuber called Majuular. I had no idea at all about these games, since at best I'm just a light and casual fan of Dark Souls 2/3, and Elden Ring. What I mainly enjoy about Dark Souls/Elden Ring is the exploration aspect, hence the casual.

I've got to say, if you haven't played King's Field IV: The Ancient City, or Shadow Tower: Abyss (Shadow Tower: Abyss is a Japan exclusive, but a fan translation patch is available!), and you enjoy romping through retro games with that certain something that only FromSoftware provides, please give these games a try!

To add context, after watching Majuular's video on King's Field, and his video on Shadow Tower's series, I started to look into more of From's older games, and found a game that is heavily inspired by King's Field called Lunacid. Well, I played the HELL out of Lunacid, and loved it so much, I started digging into finding other games like it! While this led me to find out that not a lot of games are in this niche of gaming, I did find a few! I can provide those to you if you so wish, just let me know!

I am happy to report that there is also a toolkit that can make similar games to King's Field, provided by FromSoftware all the way back in 2000, and lastly updated in 2001! This caused me to start looking for games that were made in this toolkit, and again, I did find some, but not a lot! I was also able to find a Remade demo for King's Field 2 by someone going by Rotmilldev, who did a wonderful job, and the only thing I'm disappointed by is that the demo is only the first part of the game!

Anyway, the real reason I am posting this is to get some discussions going on similar games, getting King's Field/Shadow Tower on people's radars that might incite some inspiration or interest, and to give any info I can to anyone interested in trying these forgotten gems!

As I am currently in King's Field IV right now, I can help anyone else who wants to spin it up for a try, and give some hints on settings or insights into why I'm falling in love with these games. If you are interested in it, I can also give you a .pnach file that will introduce better feeling controls for this game, at the cost of making it easier to fight any enemies due to the game being developed for a slower player character, which in turn means slower enemies to match.

Thanks for reading all this. I'm sorry to geek over it, but I would love to discuss it with anyone else interested! :)

“My dead father is “writing” me notes again A recent AI discovery resurrected my late father's handwriting—and I want anyone to use it.” - by Benj Edwards - Sep 12, 2024 5:00am CST

I find this use of AI, like with 99% of the “uses” for AI to be not only disturbing as all hell, but shows that we are creeping closer and closer to bizarro world.

EDIT: Pathfinder worked perfectly with the mods! I was even able to have it setup the exact same way by transferring the mods from my desktop mods folder to the decks folders. 👍

Hello, all!

I just wanted to post and say that dual booting with tiny11 has worked flawlessly so far, and I will update you all when I finish downloading Pathfinder and trying it out on the windows side. If it works well enough, I can boot back into SteamOS and delete it from there as I am wanting to play with a few mods and SteamOS breaks them due to UnityModManager being a windows only program.

If you have any questions, I can point you to where I found my answers, or I may even be able to provide some info to address any issues I was also running into during the process. 👍

Is there any way at all for me to preserve webpages like this so that if the website goes down or the webpage is abandoned I may still use the web page as intended? I guess I could take a chunk of time out of the day to recreate this in an excel sheet, but I wanted to ask here just in case there is a smarter way to do it.

Thank you!
