I saw an article about it!! I really want to play it but alas don't have anything that can run it, but once I can get a PS5 it's totally going on my shopping list!

Man I keep meaning to replay Wildwood Story but I know once I start again that's all I'm doing for the next few day lol... I love the colony layout editor so much, spent so many hours fine-tuning my colony to make it exactly the way I wanted it

All four games are also on Switch!! That's where I played them!

I don't see people talk about the Katamari Damacy games very much which is a shame because I think they're delightful! I also wish more people talked about Cattails (especially the sequel, Cattails: Wildwood Story), these games deserve more love imo haha

Doing my hobbies! Nothing gives me as much drive as having a project to work on

I mean, to be fair genAI is just plagiarism with extra steps so it's no different from them issuing takedowns for shitty mobile games ripping off Frozen characters. Indie studios are actively harmed by GenAI as well, given that if their content gets fed into MidJourney they don't have the resources to battle in court. So I think if GenAI faces more scrutiny as a whole and laws are put in place to stop people profiting off material generated on copyrighted material, the only people harmed are those pumping out AI slop to make a quick buck - which I'm happy with

Like to be clear I don't like Disney and I have a lot of grievances with copyright laws at large. But a broken clock's right twice a day and I think they're based for doing this

Yess I'm so excited!! Literally the only reason I'm saving up for a PS5 hehe, can't wait to play this!

I hate Disney and their unhinged copyright policies but I hate generative AI just a bit more, so I guess the enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Drawing mostly!! This week I ended up going out a lot more than usual (not in a bad way! Had an aunt I hadn't seen in 10+ years come visit so we hung out a bit) so I haven't had much time for it haha but it's okay because I'm still having fun! I'm also still studying Japanese but haven't been doing as much immersion as I'd like... I always have my 3DS on my desk but whenever I think about opening Pokemon Alpha Sapphire I just realise I'd rather draw instead lol. I think once I finish my current project I'll go all in on playing videogames and watching anime for a while

I'd choose Japanese! I started studying it about two months ago and am really enjoying the process! But if there was a way to snap my fingers and be instantly fluent, well, I wouldn't say no lol

Or maybe I'd go for for JavaScript! Maybe an odd pick, but there's lots of cool things I'd like to make that require JavaScript knowledge way beyond my level, and a lot of times I don't even know what to google to just like, get started haha. And unlike Japanese the times I've sat down and tried learning from scratch I wasn't really enjoying it ;;

What a cute little guy!! Do hedgehogs there often go out during the day? Where I live I've only ever seen them at night

Wasn't sure whether to throw this into an ask community or here, but ultimately chose casual convo because I am lowkey also looking for advice lol

I landed a job last week (hired me on the spot, did training 3 days later) as one of those people who stand outside shops/etc. asking people to donate to charities. Reputable charities for the record and without cash donations, so not some scam. But the way this is organised is miserable!! I literally get told where I'm supposed to go the night before I go there. I also get paid exclusively based on how many people I get to donate (this was not on the job ad on Indeed). The job itself is fine, is whatever, but between the chaos of having to schedule my day last minute and never being sure how much I'll make in a month... I need to hightail it out of here.

I get paid on the 15th of May, would it be inappropriate for me to quit right after? I'll give two weeks notice of course. My team leader has been super sweet to me and is already telling me I'm a natural and she wants to promote me inside her team... I did hint at the fact this is just a temporary thing for me and what I really want is an office job, but she keeps insisting I should stay and can earn a lot more here (and tbf she makes €3000/month). To be honest this whole structure feels very pyramid scheme-ish lol minus the fact people don't pay into it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this or any experience you want to share!
