After the heavy criticism they changed it from default on to (opt out) to default off (opt in).

In theory you could modify it's database, but they did mention applying stricter security (but what good does that do when the frontdoor access remains via the prompts)

To be a little more pedantic, they send ultrasound frequencies and they "degrade" into regular audible sound waves when they collide with something (combination of harmonic effects and destructive / constructive interference). The reason they send ultrasound instead of using regular directional speakers is because it's smaller wavelength is easier to aim so much more of the energy moves forwards, so you don't hear much noise coming from the source itself.

That's why they work for "crowd control". A strong enough regular speaker would bother the operator too much.

Access controls is the big difference. Apps with sensitive data can choose to hide stuff to a system wid search API. It can do so on an individual level, even. And even if it previously was accessible it can be drumroll recalled. Exposure happens when a search is made.

Microsoft Recall is all or nothing. Once it has been displayed Recall has it and you can't selectively erase stuff. Exposure is immediate. It's just purge the whole database, or leave it all in there. Apps can't retroactively flag stuff.

... But leaving AI summaries on by default was very stupid by Apple

Tech recruiters are the worst, almost nobody actually understands technology so they just pick based on the fanciest education and whatnot because they don't understand how to judge experience

Sound waves won't do anything about bacteria or spores. You'll need something like UV treatment.

Seeds are equivalent to eggs

Maybe we could use this stuff for umbrellas too?

Not in the winter, lol.

You could import fabric physics and just have it lie there, but that's going to be a bigger hit on performance than you possibly can imagine and it will move weirdly (in large part becomes we're not modeling wind, just fabric in a vacuum) and the model features it will lie on top of won't deform accurately from the simulated weight, etc...

Only against practicing entities, and if you have enough cash reserves to deter them with legal expenses.

Patents does not have defensive uses, only offensive.

You beat patent trolls by demonstrating you published first.

I'd make them prove it, tell me something that happened or was said or seen in the vision that they couldn't have known. Something which can be verified.

Chances are they can't.

Some filters can do that, not all. Gotta check what your filter is rated for!
