I got a few.

N64 command and conquer I can still hear the commando blowing up logo and saying that was left handed.

Ocarina of Time

Skies of Arcadia

And kotor, but for some reason I remember the pazak mini game more than anything else.

The backend on YouTube is pretty much designed to encourage skub (ragebait/"engagement"). Having comments that are incendiary is good for the video's performance.

Does that make it the perfect breeding ground for astroturfing and pushing misinformation? Probably. Bad actors can basically use it as a cheap form of advertising and pushing ideas that benefit them. Even the creator of the video if it was a video that has a completely opposite viewpoint of those comments still stands to benefit from having them because that increases engagement and their revenue.

So I guess my point is is that YouTube has a lot of problems and there is a multitude of reasons why comments like that have a home there and motives for them.

By getting his nails done in the context they were referring to the crucifixion.

Depends on which pope you are talking about. One of them got allied planes in his sights to get shot down.

If the US gets poor enough can a fast food combo cost less than an hour of working an assembly line?

Or if China sells a product at half the cost or less of getting it elsewhere

So many gun laws exist today because Black Panthers doing cop watch. Basically they were across the street from police watching them during traffic stops with their guns out and it lead to a lot less people getting killed or mistreated during traffic stops. That's kind of a simplified history of it.

In my area police made some policies that lasted for more than a decade about not patrolling a certain area and then needing to respond with a shitton of officers if there's more than 2 people involved in a "potentially volatile situation" due to a bunch of people shaking a cop car and telling them to f off 20 years ago.

So blasting all quasi legal unmarked cops/ice isn't realistic or necessarily what most 2A people advocate there's plenty of history and merit in letting them know that people can potentially fight back, probably easier than you think to scare them considering a lot of the modern training is fear based

I think that should count the same

So the premise is supposed to be "don't use phone" is supposed to magically turn into "healthy relationship with technology"? Yeah that doesn't make sense on a fundamental level.

Try applying that logic elsewhere. Having an rocky relationship with your spouse? Just stop talking to them and it will be fixed. Genius solutions, or perhaps it's not anything more than an excuse to control teens painted as something else

You can tell it's gay because it's not his aunt's house it's his aunts house meaning his aunt and her wife which also makes that his other aunt.

I've noticed that talking to people that some common tropes seem to come up when topics like socialism come up.

Basically I hear a lot of defense of capitalism that boils down to capitalism is good because "I personally benefit". As well as "I've heard bad things about socialism", ie taxes are too high in countries with good healthcare and social programs.

I wanted to know if other people have these issues come up in conversation and if people more well spoken than me have a way of getting through the road blocks and have some easy starting points for discussing things with people.

I feel like propaganda and fear mongering have placed a divide that make talking about things harder

My landlord has a storage closet in the house and he told his friend to come in today while I was at work. The front door has a deadbolt so rather than using the side door he jumped in through my bedroom window and went and got whatever from the storage and left.

My landlord texted me to tell me he was very disappointed that this is the second time in a row that I was not allowing access for his random friends and family to come over and check on the place (last time I actually was at the doctor's office when apparently his mom couldn't get in without more than 1 hours notice).

He's sending over his mother in the morning which he messaged me at 9pm. I really want to just leave the deadbolt unlocked and just call the cops and tell them she's trespassing when she shows up.

Also the icing on the cake of all of this is apparently the thing that his friend was coming to get was a gun that he was storing with my landlord because he is a prohibited possessor, not allowed to have guns because he has domestic violence charges.

Update: The mom did end up coming over. She started saying she's in charge now and went back and forth about asking me to do maintenance on the outside of the property that I'm not responsible for and just talking bs I said that they can just evict me if they want and then started screaming up until I said "If there isn't anything else can you please go". That made her pretty irate and she said she was calling the cops.

She started tossing things around the kitchen and I went into my room locked it and called the cops. They showed up in about a minute and asked her to leave and she said that the whole reason that she had came there was for a piece of furniture or something. They took her over to a couch that was probably bigger than her car and she tried dragging it for about 3 feet then said she doesn't need it and left.

The landlord ended up messaging me afterwards telling me I was never a tenant here and he's going to get proof and then asked if I could be out in a few weeks.
