Nice! Dead Stars is a classic.

I love a lot of the tracks off Northern Light, that was the newest album when I was getting into Covenant and it really stuck with me.

Whoa, nice!

I have some very powerful memories attached to this song.

I came hoping for a comment like this and was not disappointed 😂

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's never easy to get over, and your grief is a testament to how much she was loved.

Reddit doesn't do nuance well, I'm sorry both you and the DV survivor you were standing up for had that experience.

kill your idols

Fully agree

I have this with The Midnight too. I have respect for Tyler as a songwriter, but the lyrics often veer way to far into saccharine popsong territory for me.

Almost fully agree with your comment. Nu metal though, including Korn, has lots of questionable lyrics. Jon Davis wrote some pretty gross stuff and Courtney Love called them (and Marilyn Manson) out early on for their activities with young female fans.

Awww hi Petey!

If you don't mind a bit of DIY it wouldn't be too difficult to remove the frets on a regular guitar (some guitars like Gibsons are trickier than others). You could then fill the fret slot and file it down to the same level as the board for a fretless guitar.

I want this on a tshirt

I've seen some pressings of records I want to own that are "half speed masters", and I wondered if anyone here has already listened to some records using this mastering technique? Is there a noticeable (and better) difference in audio quality? I'm very much looking for opinions here, I know a bit about how the process works but haven't had the opportunity to do any side-by-side comparisons.

My turntable and speaker setup isn't high-end, so if the quality improvement is only really apparent on very sensitive equipment then I'll stick with the regular masters.

Yeah most grains/cereals will unfortunately be off the menu.

I hope you find some great dessert ideas, and it's wonderful how you're supporting your coworker.

I normally do a regular calisthenics routine 3 times a week, which involves push-ups among other exercises. Unfortunately I have recently injured my elbow, and need to give it some rest to heal. Are there any upper-body or arm exercises I could do in the meantime to preserve my strength that won't put stress or pressure on my elbows?

A nice mixture of gothy synthpop and doom metal.

Please enjoy some gothy post punk from the UK.

I've been listening to this today. It came with a cheeky little 7" included: "I Feel Nothing When You Cry".

This album is a bit of an outlier in My Dying Bride's discography, but I have a soft spot for it. The opening track is immense and feels like a sequel to "The Cry of Mankind" on "The Angel and the Dark River". I love the gloomy vibe this album has.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this record on the merch stall of a gig I went to earlier this week. It's an experimental industrial/dub record by the grindcore band Cloud Rat.
