Either way you're going to be serving the regime. At least in the military you can do it with some dignity and gain useful experience that can help you when you get out. That's not mentioning the better pay and benefits that go along with it.

We all need to stop contributing to the US economy as much as reasonably possible.
This doesn't mean you need to stop working if you're an American (although if you can, go ahead) but you should try to spend as little money as possible so there's less economic activity overall. If you need to spend money, try to do it in a way that causes dollars to leave the country rather than stay in it.
Great things happen when the wealthy pay their fair share.
