It's absurd and hilarious and I love it.

But is it just a stock Tacoma with big wheels or did they do more body mods to it? It looks way smaller than even older style trucks like the bed was shortened or something but that could just be an illusion due to the size of the wheels.

Had IUDs inserted twice in two different hospital systems in different states, but it was the same kind of awful both times.

Both times I was told to take ibuprofen beforehand, and that did absolutely nothing. But because it had been so bad the first time, with the second one I thought I'd be smart and took a vicodin I had from a prior procedure.

I still to lay in the room for 15 min after, trying not to vomit, and I nearly passed out. After , I walked to my car where I just sat there for 30 more min to rest. Even with vicodin it is the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life.

Not one ounce of sympathy or concern from anyone on staff.

It's nice there are new guidelines, but I feel like it's going to take more than that to make healthcare workers give a shit about this.

I would also recommend Pandora. I've had a family plan for years so I don't know for sure but there used to be a free (ad supported) tier that you could check out. And to reiterate comments from above, custom playlists and song/album play on demand is available (though some tracks are only available in discovery mode).

Was out at a vet appointment when the tornando came through clayton and st louis. Had to backtrack 4 or 5 times to find a street not blocked with downed trees. Started on Skinker and had to drive all the way to Brentwood blvd to get south of 64. Took us 2 hours to get from skinker & Lindell to tower grove

I live in the Tower Grove area and need to find a mobile vet. My dog gets incredibly stressed every time we take him to our normal (but fantastic) vet so we want to try getting him checked at home.

Every place I've called tells me they only operate in st Charles or st Peter's (despite saying all over their website that they serve st louis) or say they don't have mobile vet services at all. Since I can't trust these places' own sites I'm kind of at a loss for where to look.

Are there any places you use/know of that you recommend?

I love going to used music/movie stores. So much good stuff there that can't be edited or de-streamed out of existence.

It's sad how true this is. Seems like a lot of dumb people out there having a good time.

This doesn't appear as bad as some of the other ai legal stuff. Formatting references isn't really about generating content as much as structuring it and AI (usually) doesn't have the kind of problems with hallucinations when just tasked with reorganizing data. I've used GPT for reformatting references to APA style and it worked really well. I'm surprised Claude couldn't handle this task.

Also bummed that there doesn't appear to be a book called a statisticians guide to making inferences with noisy data, because that sounds like a book worth checking out.

There was a tweet going around reddit awhile back where someone made a joke (presumably) that chris brown was so hot he could beat her all he wanted. Its mind-boggling how brainless some people are.

That is the nicest cat sofa I've ever seen.

I played the hell put of Freecell back in the day. Started going through the seeds in order, and over the course of about 2 years I made it through 1500 or so.

I should pick that up again. Only got about 30000 or so games left to finish the whole thing...

Wow this does make me feel old. Even if it was staged it was a great time for the internet.

Yikes. I did a full news and politics cleanse during trumps first administration and was not paying a ton of attention during Bidens term. Had no idea it was that bad.

"concerns about Biden’s mobility were so dire, advisers considered having him use a wheelchair during the campaign."

What the what?

Just stumbled upon this 17-min film by David Lynch on Netflix and I think it's the closest I'll ever be to tripping on acid.

I feel like there's some kind of punchline or meaning that I'm missing, but maybe it's just absurdits for its own sake.

Thoughts on this film?

Hi all! Can you help me diagnose my basil plant?

I just got one of those "grow your own" herb plants from the grocery so my expectations were pretty low, and it's already done way better than expected.

I originally thought it was pollen from it flowering but I only had the one flower left after trimming and this stuff is everywhere. I've always grown basil outside and this time thought I'd try putting it in a window box (with cilantro and rosemary in case that matters) but I've not seen this before.

Is this something to worry about? If so what's a good way to treat it?

ADP is showing this on all hr applications now- I've encountered it a few times and always hesitate before choosing. I don't want my resume to go even further down the vortex and feed an AI model but maybe opting out just eliminates you altogether from consideration.

Have you seen this before? How have you handled it?

Should be titled: Jaguar takes the wrong lesson from Tesla's Cybertruck.

I know it's a bit different from the typical movie review/analysis but thought this was an interesting take on a great Thanksgiving day classic.

I know this is basically the same as burning money, but I found this funny and I've got $7.99 burning a hole in my pocket...

I'm doing a month-long series of campy, classic and unique horror movies. I'm pretty liberal in what gets included, trying for a lot of variety. I'm particularly a fan of spooky comedies (like the Burbs), and generally avoiding big franchise horror series to see more unique stuff.

I'm enjoying seeing so many movies I would never come across any other way, even if many of them aren't all that great. So far my favorite is probably Cabin in the Woods or Happy Death Day.

Anything I should add to the list?
