Historically it has been the case in the US precisely to allow public oversight. But recently more departments have been moving to encrypted radio and cellular because they know no one will take them to task.

However in my state, the vast majority is still easily accessible.

I've given away half a dozen cheap chinese radios this christmas.

But I've also disabled the output and turned them into police scanners. The more people watching the watchers, the better.

I built my own DC++ hub with blackjack and hookers in the wake of the original fall of the house of lime. It was fun for a few years.

Sweet, Limewire is back?

The new LimeWire once again reshapes the way people can store, create and collaborate on content, with the power of AI.

Le sigh.

I used to hear that in high school when we were seeing who could be the most offensive. I still slip up sometimes and use it as a dark joke, and it's always received as well as it has been here.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli wrote: “Apparently he thought it would be funny to interfere with our immigration enforcement operations. Now he can laugh behind bars while he faces justice. Nunez is looking at up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.”

Essayli, acknowledged the outcome on Friday: “A jury found Mr. Nuñez not guilty. He was free on bond prior to the trial. We have no further comment.”

LOL get fucked fascists.

If you do that and proceed to say "No we didn't use any AI tools". Then yes, that should be a disqualification.

"When it was submitted for consideration, representatives of Sandfall Interactive agreed that no gen AI was used in the development of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33."

Lemme tell you something…no mechanic ever made a great living just doing oil changes. They’d make a lot more money doing engine rebuilds.

Mechanic here. I make FAR more money doing oil changes than engine rebuilds.

Edit: and not just because there are far more oil changes. I mean the time a vehicle is occupying a spot in the garage vs the overall profit, is far better for oil changes than engine rebuilds.

I think the best part is the "Joe and the Hoe" bumper sticker. If even this segment of the population is fed up with local police's bullshit, maybe there's some hope.

My kitchen floor is like this. Perfect from corner from corner (and adjustable if it settles). The rest of the house is from 1905 and looks like someone drew it freehand with their off hand.
