They're not entitled.

You and every other American are also not entitled to a decent life, as evidenced.

So do with that what you will. People want to be stupid then they'll continue getting their just desserts.

He failed because Americans gave him the most razor thin majority and when it came time to support him more they stayed home or voted Republican.

It's amazing how everyone can blame one single party and not the millions of Americans who did fuck all.

Well apparently their "approach" is to run sandboxed Google play. Now whether that is better than microg with its more anonymous nature but higher permission level, idk.

But that locks you into Google play and using an account of some sort rather than just using Aurora. From what I remember anyhow, especially when trying to use seedvault since graphene has no backup solution of its own even years after saying seedvault isn't great.

Even ignoring that I tried graphene but even as a tech person it was off putting. Calyx in contrast has a nice blend of usability and security imo.

I wanted to like graphene and it's far superior in security but just so much less usable IMO. I'd rather move to a Linux phone at that point.

Yeah, they act all hurt that that's said. Like it's your fucking fault you idiot! Everyone was telling you it before and you ignored it.

This is like a kid being told not to stick their fingers in the socket, they do, then get upset that you remind them that you told them not to. Grow the fuck up mate.

Because too many Americans are too fucking lazy to do a simple thing like voting.

I mean... Have you been on Lemmy long? Progressives LOVE to shit all over Democrats all the time. Like not just here, in real life, etc. Seems the animosity cuts both ways honestly. All to the detriment of both.

Im only blaming people who either 1) don't exist because they aren't progressive or 2) don't vote.

It's pretty simple. And if youre of the opinion that progressives can't swing the election for the Democrats then youre of the opinion that theyre so insignificant that they couldn't ever tilt the Democratic party anyway.

Your experience basically flies in the face of how millions around the world live all the time without cars or needing them that much.

Maybe your particular situation, who knows, but yeah.

Are you with Democrats or not? You act like it's some shadowy cabal. People just go vote in a primary. Progressives don't win. And my main point is- Republicans voted in the primary for their far most right candidate but still voted Republican in the general. They trained the party to move to the right, like a dog.

Progressives either 1) aren't numerous enough to do anything like that or 2) get upset and either never vote in the primary or sit out both the primary and general when their preferred person doesn't make it.

Again, either way theyre irrelevant. This is the uncomfortable truth the op is talking about. Like Bernie and Aoc are popular yes? Holding rallies that get a lot of support? Then where are the rest of progressives?

If progressives were numerous enough that wouldn't matter.

Somehow the magats got their psychos in power over a number of years. Progressives don't.

Maybe it wasn't that then. I don't say I support it but I'm guessing they were thinking (old school) that if they voted for someone who of course they don't like but is actually a somewhat serious candidate that the Republicans would respond by nominating more like that.

But again, that kind of thinking is still going on in the Dem party and obviously outdated. One would think they'd learn that there is no give and take with this batch of Republicans. At all.

Go Muskies!

It's delicious fyi

We're down Robinson and Murphy I believe due to yellow card accumulation. Not feeling great about that.

Anyone else hate this? I don't want a dumbed down bar. If Im on the homepage, I want to know. Same as if I'm on a subpage.

This is in reference to Mozilla changing the URL to ALWAYS show only the domain. Absolutely terrible IMO. As for the double tall menu now? That is mostly fine.

At least give me an option to see the full url.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like Urban Artifact beers were better when they weren't filtered like they are now. Feel like there is a dramatic loss of flavor compared to the pulpy goodness it was before.

Great win. Let's go FCC!!

On to face Monterey and meet Vasquez again.

Go FCC!
