I haven't bought a pair of Levi's in more than a decade. I know they got more expensive and I wonder these company changes mean they are now ridiculously expensive.

It's a NYT article. It's in the business section but I thought c/fashion might like it. And if you don't want to read the whole thing - here's a summary...

[Levi's CEO] Ms. Gass, 55, wants to make Levi’s not only a brand you think of when you want jeans, but also a place you go to first when shopping for shirts, jumpsuits and puffer jackets. Her goal is to get customers back more often — since people usually buy tops more frequently than bottoms — and to bring them to Levi’s stores, its website and its mobile app.

Within six years, [Levi's] wants 55 percent of its revenue to come from its direct-to-consumer business, up from the current 42 percent. “It really is moving this company to be, I’ll call it, a denim lifestyle retailer,” Ms. Gass said. “That’s the big pivot.”

Has anyone else comes across the CCCP watches on ebay? Just search for that. Here is a bunch of images I saved. These are really cool watches. The main reason I haven't bought one yet is that I become wracked with indecision.

I don't have the attention span to be reading a lot about watches tbh but I did find some places that are discussing these if you do like that sort of thing.

Oh and I will also note that many of these are available quite cheaply from refurbishers. A few of the below run hundreds but they are primarily well below US$100. Many are below $50 and a few below $30.

Beyond that, I really like Imaginary Authors, particularly Sundrunk and Slow Explosions. Really want to try their new glacier named fragrance too, but they aren't selling sample sizes yet :(

I bet not a single legitimate PPG fan got to actually buy the sneakers. They were all gone within hours and reappear on the reseller market for >$250 each. Also fuck Nike for making such a limited edition sneakers. I refuse to play their game.

Thankfully there's always the 1:1 bootleg replica market. It is actually nice that you don't feel bad wearing your sneakers outside like a regular human being rather than keeping them in the closet.
