It's representative of his time in the PMO: talk a good game, then fall apart on the details.

It's a pity, because he seemed so awesome at the beginning.

I agree. Weed legalization was excellent and his early policy choices made me optimistic.

I'd also say... he's never been an awful PM either. He's just standard corporate neoliberal. Probusiness to a regrettable degree and very slow to enact policy changes.

"could have been worse" is a decent summary, but screwing up the carbon tax and bogarting election reform are both unforgivable sins in my books.
