Buying Chinese wind turbines and solar panels is not an industry. You also need to store the power for it to be non-redundant, and we can't even build a battery plant when we throw billions at it.

Canada is largely gimped by regulation and high taxes, and our living standard is actively already falling on a per capita basis, if you listen to Caroline Rogers at all. So its more likely you'll get angrier and angrier as Carney pushes a new pipeline; but try to have some cynicism, energy creates our entire living standard, energy is productivity.

Energy demand also continues to increase, so its likely we will need oil, LNG, and nuclear. Peak oil is a myth and has no basis in reality.
