If they get to 7 wins there is probably no chance Bears fire Flus, but I won't feel great about running it back with him. Fields is still debatable. He'd have to be consistently good through the remaining games to pass on 2 great prospects.
I think if they go on this run, it proves that Flus didn’t totally lose guys and if they put forth a winning effort, Flus should get the credit. I kinda wanna see the Bears continue to disappoint because I’m done with this coaching staff.
I feel like that last sentence articulates what’s happened to America in the last decade. It’s basically saying I’d rather inflict harm and loss on others (bears fans) rather than admit I was wrong. That’s so crazy. To just be even slightly pulled that was is so demoralizing… I don’t know if you meant it but it just hit me deep.
I think it depends on what pick we get. If we end up with #1, it's very hard to pass on Maye regardless of how Justin performs (within reason). If we end up with #2 and Maye is gone, I think Williams is no better of a prospect than Fields was, so if Fields looks even okay then we might as well keep him (the contract is irrelevant to us at the moment.) If we end up with #3 or later, I think Fields has a real chance of staying anyway, because Harrison becomes the target and there is no other QB you need to take in the top 10 this year. We might grab another QB late in the 1st or in the 2nd after trading back, but he won't be an automatic starter.
Disagree. Williams is a much better prospect. Navigating pocket, working through reads, hitting windows instead of waiting for wide open guys, and mechanics are far superior than Fields had in college.
Well they aren’t getting to 7 wins. Maybe 5 and a small chance at 6.
Who is the second great prospect assuming #1 is Williams.
