It's not a planet.

But you'd die before before weighing yourself.

Would have been a better end panel IMO.

Wouldn't you die on pluto too?

Holds up "Dwarf planets matter" protest sign

[–] rockerface@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Alright then, where's my Eris and Ceres representation?

[–] Chriszz@lemmy.world 27 points 1 year ago

I think you could survive long enough to weigh yourself on mars if you had a scale. It would be immensely painful but not instantaneous.

Joke’s on you, I’d die before weighing myself on Earth too.

Mars and Pluto are about equal for survivability, no? And The Moon for that matter.

[–] Rakonat@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Without a space suit each planet has roughly the same survivability.

I assumed that to weigh yourself in the conventional manner you would need to be standing on a solid surface.

On Venus you'd probably die in 5 different ways before weighing yourself. Least hospitable place since H.H. Holmes had a hotel!

Dad joke science memes. I like it.

I thought you could survive on Mars for a few minutes before passing out?

[–] cmgvd3lw@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 1 year ago

Not enough to buy a weigh scale there.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Dead or alive I'd still weigh different.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No no, if you don't measure your weight yourself then you don't have a weight. Didn't you read it?

If a weight falls in a planet, does it make a weigh?

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

This graphic taught me that unless the weight weighs itself, it does not have a weight

[–] Toes@ani.social -1 points 1 year ago

Weight is all relative anyways, Pluto is forever
