Honestly... I would never buy one, but if this is how the right wants to "own the libs". I'm kind of okay with MAGA buying Teslas. It will improve the electric charging infrastructure and reduce greenhouses gases.

[–] Tja@programming.dev 9 points 2 months ago

Imagine if Musk went Nazi just to get conservatives to buy electric cars, and deep down he's a good guy just trying to fight climate change...

... I need to stop sniffing glue.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Same. The safety record for teslas also boosts my position on this.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When the panels fly off, it’s other cars that will get hit.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

That is not the safety issue I am referring to.

Third button. Buy tesla and attach unfiltered diesel generator to keep it charged.

[–] TronBronson@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yea as long as it's making some hellish noise from a mile away, it should suit the stochastic terrorist cause.

[–] ericatty 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

For anyone else reading this phrase for the first time: "Stochastic terrorism is a form of political violence instigated by hostile public rhetoric directed at a group or an individual. Unlike incitement to terrorism, stochastic terrorism is accomplished with indirect, vague or coded language, which grants the instigator plausible deniability for any associated violence.[1] A key element of stochastic terrorism is the use of media for propagation, where the person carrying out the violence may not have direct connection to any other users of violent rhetoric." - Wikipedia

I just had to move out of a small oceanside village. Believe it or not sleep deprivation due to constant loud and abrupt noises makes it really hard to live in your own house. It reminded me to much of how we treated Iraqi prisoners in 2004, and it's appauling to think that's how we treat our neighbors. Add a few trump flags to the vechiles to the police will ignore an crimes you are committing like terrorist camouflage, and congrats you're a proud member of Ya'll-Queda. If anyone needed an example.

Oddly enough, that's actually still way more efficient than driving an ICE vehicle.

[–] hikuro93@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Why not both? If you're a true republican living the american dream you'll have no issue owning both and risk bankrupting yourself for the overlords. 🤏🧠

If the point is to own the libs by destroying the planet, then either button will do.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

Judging by the recent performance of Tesla stock, I don't think this is the difficult decision the meme would suggest that it is.

[–] Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net 10 points 2 months ago

Buy a Tesla and then die in a cyber truck fire would be my preferred option for them

[–] Honse@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago

When being a super-consumer is the only qualification for your cult.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 9 points 2 months ago

A car? Mfs can't even afford eggs.

[–] tacobellhop@midwest.social 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Nazis to the left side rednecks to the right side

[–] DrWorm@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Here I am, stuck in the middle of the Reich?

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (2 children)

They’ll make a Tesla roll coal eventually

[–] MelastSB@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How about buying a Tesla and replacing the electric engine with a thermal one?

[–] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Install a large generator.

[–] afronaut@slrpnk.net 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Easy. They will vocally support Tesla but, in practice, will continue using their gas and diesel. Not like many red states can afford a Tesla anyhow.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

They buy a Tesla to own the libs, and then mod it to "roll coal" to own the libs again.

[–] TheObviousSolution@lemm.ee 5 points 2 months ago

The solution seems obvious, drive a Tesla but only use diesel generators to charge them.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Buy a cybertronk. Buy a big diesel generator. Ratchet strap diesel generator onto back of cybertronk. Fill generator with diesel and use generator to charge tronk. They can have it all.

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Diesel is actually better for the environment than gas, so we need to figure out a way to offset that. Have the diesel generators roll coal? That oughta do it

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Tronks gotta roll coal. There is no other way.

[–] Rin@lemm.ee 1 points 2 months ago

We should train the democrats that staying alive owns the libs so they kill themselves.
