Note that even a very petite adult good friend's weight in gold would cost approximately five million dollars.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Sounds reasonable

[–] takenaps@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Interesting, thats kinda less money than I figured..

[–] ArbitraryValue@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Note that this is the worth of the friend's weight rather than volume. If you're picturing a solid-gold life-sized statue, that would cost twenty times as much.

[–] takenaps@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

True, that makes sense

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

I’m not stupid I totally realized that immediately (neat thanks)

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Most people are not very petite

If he needs more friends, please inform him that I am available.

Let's test his Dunbar number.

Hello! We're Lemmy! We're your new 50,000 closest friends! May we come in?

I did too, but I eated them. I am ashamed that I ate an entire 96 pack of Crayolas, but it was a long drive.

And to tie it all off, the TV was set to channel 9 with the breast exam.

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Wait, what? Is this a show I've been sleeping on?

[–] papalonian@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I think it's an Office Space reference. In the movie, the main character's neighbor shouts at him through their shared wall to check out channel 9, because there's some information about breast exams and he "thought it was something you'd wanna see"

[–] Owlboi@lemm.ee 24 points 1 month ago (1 children)

An 1/8th to a quarter of weed, a cake, AND a new shirt? lucky man

The older you get, the more that card matters.

[–] Jimmycakes@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

Damn Joe got higher than fuck when he saw the cake he needed to eat

[–] Confused_Emus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I’d have a similar reaction. My birthdays were so consistently shit that I stopped telling new contacts/friends when it was years ago and I just don’t celebrate it anymore.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Huh.....I don't remember creating account Confused_Emus@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Nor do I remember writing this message, but it's clearly me in that post. Yep. No doubt about it.

Plot twist: his dog's named Joe

[–] papalonian@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago
