Quebec stepped up huge! The Ontario results are just plain scary. I hope Mark "Big Daddy" Carney can actually unite us! I thought the decision of who was best for Canadians at this time was so obvious that I'm disheartened by the results.

I mean look at ontario's premier who won a 3rd time in an "emergency election" that had the 2nd lowest voter turn out. It defintely wasn't a power grab by ford cause he knew change was coming in the feds and he could not longer blame Trudeau for problems he fails to fix.

I hope ontario somehow forces another election after Carney has some time to make an impact and the Ontario liberals or ndp can put a new face forward for this province.

Thank you for sharing this article @Sunshine@lemmy.ca. I must admit that I’ve been rather pessimistic about the election outcome, that 41% of the votes went to the Cons, that I forgot to sufficiently celebrate the fact that 44% voted for the Libs, many of which were out with the intention of denying the Cons government. That I forgot the fact that the fact this happened gives us all, at home and abroad, hope that the fight goes on and that we stand a chance at decency. Thank you!
