I've done a bit of diagonal reading of the wiki and it seems like the Anomalocaris is widely accepted as a genus, in both paleobiology as paleoecology.

The Opabinia are widely disputed, with scientists unable to agree on even it's biological make up and significance.

It's strange looking presence seems not to fit within any theory and therefore it's shunned, whist on discovery everybody thought it would be a missing link that would tie everything together, it's achieved the opposite.
