It'll be great until the spin cycle

[–] Finch9678@europe.pub 56 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

On the opposite, then your soup doesn't need stirring....

Is this AI? The text isn't legible as letters and the lines between panels don't seem to line up right

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 38 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (3 children)

It does like like AI which is strange because it's basically something like this:

on top of a washing machine. Nothing strange. You can just google it:

So... do people use AI now to copy images from the internet? WTF?

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 16 points 3 weeks ago

It's like AI copies of actual comics. The unimaginative using tools for the uncreative - slop all the way to their core so they don't understand why it's repulsive.

First thing I thought as well, there are a lot of issues in the photo.

Not even sure what that thing is on the floor to the left, the letters look wrong and so do the buttons and stove knobs.

[–] wazzupdog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 3 weeks ago

Either AI or AI upscaling gone horribly.

[–] Dicska@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Don't tell me you don't have the pot handle attached to the inside of the pot!

[–] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 13 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

I don't, but my coffee mug does.

[–] Dicska@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

It's all fine as long as you hold the liquid on the outside.

[–] bpev@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Do you... hate yourself? Or is this the 3rd best guest mug?

[–] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

My guest mug is my face photoshopped onto some buff dude dressed up as a unicorn.

i think it is, look at the knobs on the top of the washing machine. they’re nonsensical

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

Those look close to normal, but the burners don't look right.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I checked it closer, and it still has a lot of awful artifacting. This could be a result of some really shoddy AI upscaling, which likes to melt details, especially if they just put it into some image generator, and ask it to upscale it. There's some actual usable AI driven image upscalers for lineart, etc., but they're obviously not good for photos, and even mess up some lineart stuff.

[–] Chiarottide@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I thought so too but then I noticed that the 4 burners have 5 knobs

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

AI likes to hallucinate details it cannot decypher to something else when used for upscaling, but otherwise it's now plausible that it is AI.

[–] Railcar8095@lemm.ee 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I think the fact there are 5 fire controls (is that the technical term, or my brain is on strike?) And the weird letters make me think it's AI.

Same thought, but I'm 50/50 on whether it's an AI generated image or a shitty picture sharpened with AI.

Has Prompt engineering gone too far?

Fucking AI slop.

[–] gil2455526@lemmy.eco.br 24 points 3 weeks ago

...Crap. I didn't noticed until I zoomed in. I'm getting old.

[–] RedEyeFlightControl@lemmy.world 27 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Wait till you see it move around and vacuum shit up

[–] Finch9678@europe.pub 7 points 3 weeks ago

Only on spin cycle tho

Or has it gone not too far enough!?

[–] dgbbad@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 weeks ago

I respect my opponent. I think he's a good man. But frankly, I agree with everything he just said!

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (5 children)

Everyone is saying it's a washer. Couldn't it be a gas dryer? The combination makes a little sense if they're both gas appliances. Maybe many apartments only have one gas line and this is the easiest and cheapest way to install a dryer. Add it where there is already gas for the stove.

[–] LilB0kChoy@midwest.social 5 points 3 weeks ago

To me it just looks like a cook top on top of a washing machine as though limitedon space.

[–] Chee_Koala@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

Last year I learn about gas-fridges, now you're telling me there are gas-dryers.. so cool. on-topic: I normally don't HAVE to wash while I cook, so if it's all secure and it's a stable washer I could see that working too.

[–] boonhet@lemm.ee 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It's a washer but it's also AI generated most likely. But also not too uncommon in tiny apartments.

[–] Vorticity@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

Okay, I didn't look at the image closely enough. Yes, definitely AI. The knobs look like they're melting. The buttons are all off-kilter. Non of the text is actual text, just AI blurs.

[–] optional@piefed.social 2 points 3 weeks ago

I can see it, I'm more inclined for it being a gas dryer

[–] RaoulDook@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Quite possibly so. The real question is where in the shit are those motherfuckers gonna cook a pizza?

[–] jim3692@discuss.online 10 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

So, you guys never had to live in a badly designed apartment, because you couldn't afford a better one.

I have been living like this in Greece for about 3 years.

[–] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 weeks ago

I love ꭄ branded appliances

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 6 points 3 weeks ago

I say it hasn't gone far enough.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

This is awesome tbh.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

I could see a market for those who don’t use ovens, just stove tops

[–] ignoble_stigmas@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Or it is a combined function with an oven. Just be careful to not overcook the laundry

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 3 points 3 weeks ago

It could combine stovetop, washer, dryer and air fryer... I say, to the lab!

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 5 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Don't need to stir the pot if you have laundry going at the same time.

Also: does the washer double as a dishwasher?

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 4 points 3 weeks ago

I love me some Slavic jank.

[–] lemmydripzdotz456@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

I don't know that those things are connected. It looks like a stove top set on top of a washing machine.

[–] Fourth@mander.xyz 4 points 2 weeks ago

Slop detected

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago

I presume the point that you only need one methane source connection for two appliances that use it heavily.

So, an appliance for low-drag homesteads.

[–] SwingingTheLamp@midwest.social 3 points 3 weeks ago

Brilliant! Just put your pillow in the wash on spin cycle while cooking your risotto to save a lot of effort.
