No, it was an asteroid impact and the eruption of the Deccan Traps.

Quite literally the opposite of an ice age.

The asteroid impact and volcanic eruption caused a metric fuckton of particulate matter to be ejected into the atmosphere, effectively blocking out the sun, causing an ice age.

The Deccan Traps pumped out enough lava to cover the US a foot deep. Daily.

The dinosaurs were on the way out when the asteroid hit.

Technically, one clade of theropods lives on to this day though.
