You must post before you leave

Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).

Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.

Use content warnings and/or mark as NSFW when appropriate. Most posts with content warnings likely need to be marked NSFW.

Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".

Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.

Avoid shilling for corporations, posting advertisements, or promoting exploitation of workers.

Proselytization, support, or defense of authoritarianism is not welcome. This includes but is not limited to: imperialism, nationalism, genocide denial, ethnic or racial supremacy, fascism, Nazism, Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, etc.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

This belongs in BadWomensAnatomy. But at least he's asking instead of claiming he knows the answer.

[–] FuCensorship@lemmy.today 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Will the vagina breathers survive?

[–] BlackVenom@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's all about keeping one nostril free.. or use a snorkel.

[–] SpatchyIsOnline@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Ah yes, the vagina nostrils

[–] zedgeist@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

[–] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Suffocated, no doubt

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Yeah whoever should have hsndled his basic biology should be shot, their organs sold to buy this man a biology textbook and good tutor if there's any left over. Get the feeling he'd take to it. He's clearly thought about the issue.

[–] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I don't think shooting him will allow the baby to breathe any easier. Like, think it through, jeez...

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 121 points 2 days ago (3 children)

This man went to a school where the only sex education was to wait until marriage.

[–] prex@aussie.zone 134 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I just posted this but it seems relevant:

[–] alx@lemmy.blahaj.zone 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Every second I look at this, it becomes worse

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 day ago

You mean the prospect of birthing a 35 lb baby doesn't fill you with joy?

[–] egrets@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago

Since no one's said it, the book is The Story of Life by Chris (Simpsons Artist).

[–] v4ld1z@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

How do I delete your comment?

Wait, I know how! I'm an admin :]

[–] TriflingToad@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

here's my Florida education:

"heres the parts of the vagina and penis, we won't teach you what to do in bed or how to stay safe while doing so. Or what women go through. Also watch this video of a birth from 2005. You now match Florida's specifications."

[–] oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So just any school in the United Fascists of America?

[–] gandalf_der_12te@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] moseschrute@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago

I’m in the states and I would not like to be associated with the fascists. But yeah, things are getting pretty bad.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

This is a Trump voter for sure

[–] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

CAN IT HURT BABY TOP OF ITS HEAD?!

[–] Ziglin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Ah that one requires a mod/DLC, once installed just have two hetero Gregs sleep together and try for a baby. Soon one should be gregnant and form a baby in about 18 days.

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 42 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Feel bad for people who don't know the baby breathes through an air tube that's connected to the mother's lungs

[–] zedgeist@lemmy.world 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean, you're not entirely wrong, from an abstract point of view

[–] HenryDorsett@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I mean, or literal.

Humans are a series of tubes to begin with.

Your blood vessels? Your downstairs plumbing? Even your lungs, the alveoli serve as teeny tiny tubes that are short and bulbous, that exchange gases through other tubes!

There are some other shapes, but what keeps the human machine going? Friggin' tubes.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Just like the internet!

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Tubes and storage vessels.

An air tube with extra steps.

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Got it, you went to a “conservative school” in the USA that refused to hire any teachers who might have “liberal views” like teaching facts, reading actual history and critical thought.

[–] MNByChoice@midwest.social 15 points 2 days ago

And he will go on to "lead the family" and help his wife "understand the way of the world".

[–] astrsk@fedia.io 6 points 2 days ago

Not to mention the Oxford comma.

[–] LavaPlanet@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] Successful_Try543@feddit.org 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

[–] LuxSpark@lemmy.cafe 8 points 2 days ago
