"The Negro Holocaust: Lynching and Race Riots in the United States, 1880-1950" states that, contrary to present-day popular conception, lynching was not a crime committed exclusively against black people. Between the 1830s and the 1850s the majority of those lynched in the United States were whites. From 1882-1968, some 4,743 lynchings occurred in the United States (not all lynchings were recorded). Of these, 3,446 or 73 percent were black and 1,297 (27 percent) were white. In other words, whites were the victims of more than one-fourth of all lynchings in the United States.
White supremacists don't just use violence against minorities, they use it to make non-racist white people conform to the racist culture.

It's saying the quiet part out loud, they see Nazism as a "pro white" ideology.
I have a patch of that on my jacket. It has a ring of text around it in German which translates to "put garbage in its proper place"

We are a few weeks to a few months away I bet. They have their Reichstag fire moment finally so now they need to blame the scapegoat. After that is the purge of the opposition. Just look at the late 1930s Germany for the playbook on what is happening.

This shouldn't be surprising to people broadly, but... well, it is, because almost no one actually knows that precise period of history, that playbook.
So the established anti-Nazi icon of throwing a swastika into a trash can is "anti-white"? Well, at least we now know which kind of white this councilman represents.

My LGS already knows my politics...
Over COVID they had put up 5-6 red hats behind the counter and I called them out on it. Didn't get into politics just told them it was fucking stupid and they should get rid of them.
Haven't seen anything political since. They're still probably rightwing, but they're not dumb enough to advertise it. And it's a very low bar to be the least shitty LGS around.

It's crazy that these people always were the kind that would want another world war but I never would have guessed they just wanted to try playing as the other side this time.
