Why do we need to do anything? the Americans are the source of most problems for us when in relation to border security.

The guns come from them, the drugs come from them, a large amount of migrants come from them.

Everything they whine about is their own doing.

Carney liberals and Poilievre conservatives being corrupt once again…

Four sources said that the government is poised to introduce a second bill, paving the way for the government's proposed border security measures to pass through Parliament — without the controversial clauses that allowed Canada Post to open mail and law enforcement to access some digital data.

Seems like they'll be removing some of the bad parts. Let's see what remains. We'll complain again if needed.

Also this suspected cat's out of the bag:

The bill's sponsor, Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree, told reporters in the spring that the proposed legislation was in part a response to complaints from the United States that the Canadian border is too porous.

complaints from the United States that the Canadian border is too porous.

Geez I wonder why Taco, it’s almost as if our border is the largest in the world.

Washington DC wants Canadians to waste valuable taxpayer money on performative security where the helicopters cause so much noise pollution and the locals are harassed and followed into their homes and the cops demand we rat out one another.

The worst part is that this puts migrants in greater danger trying to escape the stupid fascist authoritarianism.

What's so corrupt here? They are tabling a bill with a lot of the clauses that they had originally planned to have, removed. That's due to the other parties indicating various issues with it, and indicating that they wouldn't support it. Does this all not sound like an elected government working exactly how it's supposed to?

im more so worried why they put in these clauses in the first place. using trump as fear fuel for the machine of an unconstitutional serveillance state, that would give away our data, openly, to the same fascist government thats threatening to make us the 51st state that carney was elected to fight against is a massive, massive, massive issue. to say the least.

"concessions" like these directly undermine our national security and public interest, and trust, in our government.

bill c2 is just the beginning of a list of digital anti privacy bills that give authoritarian style powers to our government and police force.

vote NDP, vote green. the libs and cons are two sides of the same coin. especially with carney, an early 2000's PC style conservative playing liberal.

im so far, very disturbed by his policies in this space.
