Christmas has divorced so far from its religious origins that assuming you need to be religious or white to know these songs is... A rather ignorant view point on the history of the holiday and other winter time festivals. Exist in any country during the season and you quickly pick up on the local traditional songs and realize there's many of the same just translated though time.
Christmas is celebrated in basically every country on earth in some fashion. It has different names or variations, but many of the older songs and traditions remain intact for the most part.
If I recall India's variation of the holiday is called the bada din.
Winter festivals are absurdly common in every culture and thanks to the British Christmas has basically absorbed or been absorbed into damn well near all of them.
Hell that's part of the reason some people say it should be Xmas not Christmas. Because really that's what it is, a generic religious, sacred or otherwise noteworthy festival.
X denotes just how wide spread and all encompassing it has become.
Xmas is one of the few celebrations that nearly every human on this planet all collectively engage with. It's one of the only unifying days we all agree to be nice to each other.
American, Chinese, Indian, Brazilian, Australian, Taiwanese, Peruvian, Japanese, you name it and they have a version of Xmas be it straight Christmas or a local version of it.
Be it a simple holiday, a national festival or just a simple religious observation.
It's one of the only good things to have ever come from the age of empire and conquest.

Ironically, the person who wrote that comment was arguably being more culturally insensitive by assuming that the DoorDasher wouldn't understand a cultural reference

You don't need to know cultural trivia to become a citizen. Especially not all of it. But when a person is living somewhere (which you don't need to be a citizen to do), that person tends to be exposed to the culture.
As well, this could just be someone familiar with the culture who missed a pun because they're thinking about work.
I'm not sure what caused you to get so worked up about this. The joke is perfectly reasonable to make, and there's the chance that the Dasher learned a bit of cultural trivia thanks to this joke. Or they learned that they missed a pun and may get to have a laugh about it in hindsight. There's no harm or foul here.

Assuming they are Hindu it would be their bada din! Xmas has local versions in basically every country on earth. It's one of the only holidays that basically every human on this planet celebrates. Xmas is kind of turned into an amalgamation of every winter festival. Every country that's ever been touched by empire has ever had.
One of the really good things to ever come out of that era. Started kind of bad but with time it's allowed everyone to have a unified single holiday that we can all agree to be good to each other on while also giving everyone the ability to make it their own.
It's why it should be Xmas not Christmas. Because everyone can enjoy a mas.

Your baseline assumption here is that interaction with another person is burdensome. Most people don't feel that way, and if they do, they probably don't work in the service industry.
So, presuming the doordasher finds human interaction to be neutral (neither good nor bad), and understanding that the customer is not making the joke at the expenses of the door dasher, I fail to see how this is a problem, even if the dasher doesn't get it. Someone trying to share a joke with you, even if you don't get it, is usually perceived as friendly.

Dude I make cultural references all the time. I don't really give a shit if the recipient gets it 100% of the time. A 20% hit rate is enough for me, because it's amusing when a stranger picks up on my reference to The Office or Arrested Development or I Think You Should Leave or whatever. And if my reference misses, whatever. I'm just having fun with my interactions with others. If they have fun, too, great. If not, too bad, I was still entertained myself.
