RULES

  1. Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
  2. Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
  3. Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
  4. Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world

Walked to a bus stop, and the bus was just arriving. I took a few faster steps, and my timing was spot on! I went to a shopping mall, did my shopping, and made my way back to another bus stop. This time, the timing was even better. No fast walking was required. I just walked at my usual pace, and when I arrived at the stop, so did the bus.

It was so satisfying!

This video of how to clap with one hand really got me this morning. I hadn’t had a good laugh like that in a while.

I got to catch up with my brother who i haven't seen in years and it feels very nice that i can't stop smiling most of the time :)

I just had a wonderful dinner with an old friend and it’s like we didn’t skip a beat in the last decade.

I got an anime titty mousepad as a joke, but it's more comfortable wrist support than any "professional" ergonomic mousepad I've ever used.

The joke is my wife does this thing where if she hears me grumbling at my games, she'll come put her boobs in my face to give me the "booby buff". The mousepad is like a constant low-level version of the effect when she's not available to provide the full buff.

Just found out about exocomics and spent the past 15 minutes looking through their Mastodon page laughing and smiling at their posts.

I was at a footbal game of my brother in law (he is much younger than me and my husband, only 11 years old). One of the kids wanted to kick the ball and not only missed the ball, but also lost his shoe in a Charlie Brown like manner.

Instead of just saying it, I'll show it:

Siegfrieda enjoying her Christmas gift, Panzerfrieda Mk2. Kika also got a house (le Chat-eau), but taking pics from Kika is always tricky (if she notices you with a phone, she turns her butt towards you, as if saying "slap here").

My non-feline family also loved their gifts. In special my sister, I gave her a thermic bottle for her runs. (It's kind of weird to see her getting thinner than I, given it was usually the opposite, but I'm genuinely happy for her.)

I tried a new recipe, Stollen. It turned out amazing. A good sub for panettone, I gotta admit I suck at preparing it.

My hybrid pepper plant is flowering! I can't wait to see how the peppers will turn out. It's yellow bell pepper x dedo-de-moça (medium heat local pepper); I'm hoping to get large-ish, yellow, elongated, low but non-zero heat peppers. Perhaps I won't get them this generation, but as I further select peppers into a heirloom variety, I'll get what I want: the perfect stuffing peppers.

Very cute kitty. Please give head and cheek scritches from me! 💚

Scritches delivered! (She loves those.)

Most mornings, my big boy bunny does zoomies around the living room. He runs from one end of the house to the other end as fast as he can.

Every morning, my tiny girl bunny runs around doing zoomies and binkies when she knows she is about to get her breakfast.

When they aren’t running around like crazybuns, they have to always have their butts touching. If they are laying down, sitting, in the litter box, etc, their butts have to touch.

Here is my big boy (left) and my tiny girl (right). Having bunnies makes me smile every single day.

I don't remember when I smiled last time: life is hard and perspectives are grim.

A week ago? I was drunk, so surely I had something to smile about. I just don't remember...
