Okay then, yes Hitler brought Germany out of the depression but he also started a war that killed something like 80 million people and also kicked off a fucking genocide.

[–] trk@aussie.zone 16 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Dang, I feel old as heck reading that

[–] INHALE_VEGETABLES@aussie.zone 6 points 5 hours ago

I understood the gist of it.

Is this a confession? "Yea he may have willingly joined parties where people fiddled kids, he may even have done some himself. But he has also done great stuff (?) so that is fine."

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

The really insane part is that the "really great things" he has done is be rich. The religion that the religious right actually worships and actively practices is "wealth and power". They have taken the mantra that "god will reward faithfulness" so thoroughly and seriously that they 100% believe that the fact that he is wealthy and powerful means that whatever he is doing is the right thing because otherwise God would not continue to reward him.
This is why they actively defend and encourage whatever he does, because God continues to reward him. If God doesn't punish him then whatever he is doing is what God wants. Even the child fucking is righteous because if it wasn't, then God would put a stop to it. And the victims deserve no mercy because they obviously are not loved by God or else they wouldn't be in a position to be victimized.

"He did some good things."

Great things, like... checks notes the Dow... checks notes going up? WHY ARE YOU ALL LAUGHING?

Bitch, we're laughing at you going through your notebook like it's a Choose Your Own Adventure.

[–] Mohamed@lemmy.ca 1 points 4 hours ago

LOL. Timestamp?

You have not answered the question.

PAM: bla.....

SHUT UP AND ANSWER THE QUESTION. And remember you are under oath.

PAM: Angry uhh...

Anyhing that comes out of your mouth, if it's not the answer - it is deflection, and henceforth garbage.

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Can you at least tell us the great things he apparently did?

[–] idyllic@leminal.space 3 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)
  1. Well he showed America why EACH and EVERY vote matters
  2. The consequences of ONE poor decision /indecision on one's part
  3. How one appreciates the good poorly, until the real bad arrives
  4. Why America is actually great. Not because of screw-ups like him, but because of its citizens.

Disclaimer: I am not an American, I am from a fucked up nation where the vast majority is MAGA equivalent. This is why I have come to love how the people of America have reacted and their understanding and clarity which my unfortunate nation lacks.

We aren't even in the news because our's is at the fine threshold were we overstep the boundaries a lot but not too much at a time - so it doesn't show. Those who may rise above their own turmaoil to pay even the slightest attention can see it easily, but we are a nation just in the background and the view is blurred by the upheaval of the rest.

Plz do not ask me which. You might guess correctly or incorrectly and I will not answer.

[–] 0_o7@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 9 hours ago

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only thing that matters to his base is that he's a manifestation of their racism.

As long as he's doing what racists love, they won't mind if they came into their house and fucked their wifes and kids.

Few might get disgusted for a while, but hey, their prayer to not see any brown people at work tomorrow might get answered. So that's a win.

A backpacker is traveling through Ireland when it starts to rain. He decides to wait out the storm in a nearby pub. The only other person at the bar is an older man staring at his drink. After a few moments of silence the man turns to the backpacker and says in a thick Irish accent:

"You see this bar? I built this bar with my own bare hands. I cut down every tree and made the lumber myself. I toiled away through the wind and cold, but do they call me McGreggor the bar builder? No."

He continued "Do you see that stone wall out there? I built that wall with my own bare hands. I found every stone and placed them just right through the rain and the mud, but do they call me McGreggor the wall builder? No."

"Do ya see that pier out there on the lake? I built that pier with my own bare hands, driving each piling deep into ground so that it would last a lifetime. Do they call me McGreggor the pier builder? No."

"But ya fuck one goat.."

[–] glitchdx@lemmy.world 8 points 6 hours ago

Fun fable, but not applicable to this context.

[–] idyllic@leminal.space 7 points 9 hours ago

Great things done or not done... Fuck all, it's not relevant to this investigation and thus deflecting.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

WHY ARENT WE TALKING ABOUT THE DOW

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 67 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

So, basically what it sounds like she's implying, is that Trump should be allowed to rape children, because of all the great things he's done?

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 29 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

First, I want to hear this great list of great things this great president has done. I'll wait.

[–] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Be wealthy and powerful.
That's the full list. They have direct and immediate proof that God loves him or else he would not continue to be wealthy and powerful. So something like fucking kids and not being punished for it means that fucking kids is part of his reward and is righteous.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 11 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Wanna play some smash? We're gunna be here for a while.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 10 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Fine, I'll get the beers and/or edibles.

[–] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 1 points 1 hour ago

Ya boi's old school and brought flower.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 117 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

STUPID Libtards wanting to know if the US President had Sex with Children!

-LITERALLY Republicans!

[–] FireRetardant@lemmy.world 56 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

We gotta ban the gays and trans. The are probably trying to touch the kids.

-also republicans

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 11 hours ago

Those people would give their kids to trump for a chance of sniffing his farts

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 18 points 13 hours ago

Yeah! Those are our kids to touch and abuse!!

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago

It all makes sense now. The reason Republican conventions see spikes in Grindr usage isn't because they're closeted gay; it's because they think they can ask around for tips and tricks.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 65 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Republican psychological projection is like two black holes orbiting each other until one day they collide and merge.

Its now happening so quickly that their accusations are occurring in their own actions they're accusing others of (like Bondi deflecting by bitching and lying about deflecting).

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 18 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

It's glorious to watch it all collapse in real time. Now hopefully their downfall will be complete before they cause too much more destruction.

[–] BedSharkPal@lemmy.ca 48 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Right after this he accused her of lying under oath. It was nice to see.

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 11 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Great, what are the consequences for lying under oath?

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 18 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Jail. But only if it’s convicted and enforced. I’m pretty sure it’s also extra illegal to lie under oath to congress, or something.

[–] jokerwanted@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 hour ago

Bill Clinton was impeached, not for getting a BJ, but for lying about said BJ to congress.

[–] B0rax@feddit.org 12 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Why is no one enforcing these laws anymore?

[–] trxxruraxvr@lemmy.world 7 points 6 hours ago

Because in the end, law enforcement agencies depend more on the people in power that the other way around

[–] Kowowow@lemmy.ca 27 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Someone needs to draw her like crawker from fairly odd parents "the WOKE LEFT wont even talk about how great trump is"

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 hours ago

I can’t tell if it’s worse because of how great he isn’t, or if he actually had done some great things if it would be worse that way.

[–] BenderRodriguez@lemmy.world 7 points 14 hours ago
[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Ever ask yourself why it's so darn easy to deflect?

[–] te_abstract_art@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

Why answer other peoples' difficult questions when you can just answer your own much easier (and already prepared) questions?
