"Good luck on the dp"

Absolutely incredible

[–] FavouriteShapes@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

I think many people don't enjoy DP as much as they think they might, and I actually entered the comments just to see if anyone else was saying this, but no

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 60 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Doesn't seem like a difficult goal to achieve. The first one, I mean.

[–] gedfromgont@piefed.ca 51 points 1 month ago

Well there you go, set achievable goals for yourself. The challenge can come from a stretch goal, which I am sure she also had in mind.

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 36 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If you want to trust the people involved, it’s a lot harder.

[–] vzqq@lemmy.blahaj.zone 36 points 1 month ago

“No anal with randos” is a rule you learn pretty fast.

[–] StillAlive@piefed.world 12 points 1 month ago

More like 'thrust the people involved'.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 16 points 1 month ago (2 children)

If it was easy, I would have had some DP by now.

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

The are apparently some clubs for activities, Craigslist, dating/hookup apps, and if all else fails you can walk around certain parts of town with a sandwich board.

Hell, even just trying for the second one feels like the first one sometimes.

[–] NoSpotOfGround@lemmy.world 30 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Both are admirable aspirations! And remember, if one doesn't work out, you can always try the other.

[–] damnthefilibuster@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

In which order?

[–] MrSelfDestruct@piefed.zip 29 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Is that Violet08 Twitter handle?

[–] deacon@lemmy.world 38 points 1 month ago

Well, other women exist, and some of them get horny.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Haha it really is a similar tone.

In case anyone is really wondering: Stella Barey is the porn actress who later went on to launch Hidden, as an alternative to OnlyFans. No idea how that project is going, though.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2025/nov/07/stella-barey-hidden-porn-creators-onlyfans

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 7 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Onlyfans actually went through a bit of a phase were they actually considered banning pornography (because that wasn't actually the original intention of the site so when it became popular for that they weren't initially happy about it) but then they realized that was stupid.

[–] Funkt4st1c@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Throwback to Tumblr

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What was the original intention?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 4 points 1 month ago

Basically patreon, but somehow it ended up with something else.

[–] socsa@piefed.social 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

People still think violet isn't a bit?

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 3 points 1 month ago

It's called suspension of disbelief

[–] FavouriteShapes@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

I don't really see how violet works as a bit though. A bit specifically has to be funny right? And get "laughter" as a reaction - well, violet is more like "how many people can I trick into believing this dumb objectifying bullshit"

All violet's posts ever conjured up for me are memories of male redditors pretending to be ladies, posting or responding to sex question threads all the time.

Violet is the same person who did the "Saudi Arabian housewife" larp, right?

(Not trying to be argumentative. It's an interesting topic and I want to get to the objective truth of the matter)

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah, imagine aunt Mabel asking the classic "What you wanna do when you grow up?"

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I want to be steam trained.

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 1 month ago

I can only guess it's some kind of doggy style...?

[–] CultLeader4Hire@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

This is the version of there’s two wolves inside you that fits me lol

[–] Kenny2999@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

In the fight for universal healthcare, taking care of two people at once is a nice head start.

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Half of lemmy is unironically like this.

They just shove it in without care or context, I hope homegirl has better XD

[–] heartSagan5@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Which? The dp announcement or commenting their hopes and dreams?

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

The unasked for political whingeing, realized sexual achievement isn't very Lemmy XD

[–] FavouriteShapes@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

To be fair Lemmy was created by communists, and I think it was partially created to have better spaces to discuss political ideas like communism in. But also: i totally agree.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. It's hard enough to get two people to show up for sex, three is exponentially harder.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (4 children)

It's exponentially easier if you're an attractive woman

[–] PuddleOfKittens@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

"Attractive" is making an assumption here. Thankfully, it's not a particularly important one.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 month ago

You can google her, she's not physically unattractive at the very least.

[–] ddplf@szmer.info 2 points 1 month ago

Nah, she kinda mid ngl

spoiler... I am allowed to say that about a person whose career choice relies pretty much completely on aesthetical factors, right?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 2 points 1 month ago

Yeah I keep meaning to have a sex change but you know, it's hard to find the time.

Sweetie, what was stopping you from buying two cucumbers?

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Why do I have to block people multiple times?

[–] Anarki_@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

It's cuz cm0002 has accounts on every instance under the sun so they basically can't be blocked.

There was once a list of all their alts but it's gotten lost in time and likely isn't updated anymore.

[–] cm0002 3 points 1 month ago

There's a link to it in the bio of every account used for my .ml crossposting campaign.

The only account not updated on it is removing my lemy.lol account since I've pulled that one from the rotation lol

[–] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 1 month ago (2 children)
[–] cm0002 7 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Some people don't like my stance against .ml, my calls for boycott against them and my .ml crossposting campaign

Why am I cross-posting .ml content?

I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to help vitilize non-.ml comms and make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don't want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some active niche comms.

Megathread on the issue

Some highlights from the link:

Dessalines, head .ml admin, lead Lemmy dev actively spreading genocide denialism https://sh.itjust.works/post/61371958

.ml admin, Nutomics continued transphobia https://lemmy.world/post/29222558 The original transphobic Comment from Nutomic: https://lemmy.world/post/18236068

"If you don't support Russia then you just don't understand geopolitics" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/27352415

"Don't worry guys, the Uyghur Genocide was REALLY just birth control! ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/30580167

"See! nobody died IN Tiananmen Square, just AROUND it, so it doesn't count!!" ~ Davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/30673342

"NK is actually good and anything counter to that is Western propaganda!" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/31595035

General negative sentiment to other instances who haven't "seen the way" yet ~davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/27426510

And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can't even put them all here because this comment would be really long.

I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like "Lemmy? Isn't that the place with a bunch of tankies?" Or "Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left". The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What is vitilize ? wiktionary returns no results

[–] cm0002 2 points 1 month ago

A dumb typo I've missed till now lmao

A lot of people find this serial reposting annoying.

It’s okay to have multiple, concurrent, lifelong goals.

It’s also okay to take what you can get 👌
