I believe that vacuums also generate a ton of static charge as the air flows over the plastic hoses and such. They make special vacuums for electronic that are static free but expensive.

I want to add Adventure Time to the good list. There definitely are some episodes that feel "lol random" but there's a longer story arc that's actually really deeply explored

While this does prevent the oxidation of the molten weld metal it doesn't prevent discoloration from the vapor deposition on and around the weld, or slight oxidation from the hot metal as it exits the shielding gas cloud. Paper is less prone to this kind of oxidation but even welding on a vacuum can still produce some discoloration from the vaporized material
I was in an airport and some alarm was going off for like 20 minutes straight, flashing lights and beeping. Not actually the fire alarm, I don't know what actually caused it, maybe someone opened a door they weren't supposed to, but when it finally stopped everyone around started clapping.
We just got a set of ceramic storage containers with tempered glass lids and silicone gasket seal. Sadly the frame for the glass lid is still plastic but it's a step in the right direction at least, I guess next steps would be a stainless steel metal frame or fully silicone frame but I bet it's cost prohibitive
