... I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Except if you bought the game you still own a copy, they're just not allowed to sell new copies.
Right? The collective dismissal of Mastodon from leftist influencers when the Muskening happened was eye opening.
Like, there's a collaborative, volunteer-based platform right over there. You want mutual aid? Open-source is as mutual-aid as it gets.
But it's nerd shit.
Wait, sources are supposed to be credible? I thought the joke was "yes this is an article in an actual* newspaper that is so absurd it seems like it could be satirical"
*for a certain definition of "actual"
Honestly I didn't even scroll enough to realize there was a paywall I just saw the headline and that there was apparently an article below it and holy crap that headline is as Onion-y as you get.
It bothers me because TR2013 didn't have to be like that. The dogs were challenging and scary. The puzzles were good. The bow and melee combat was tense. Hunting and exploration could've played a bigger part, the game so rarely took you off the rails and it was good when it did.
The game could've been made with killing humans being rare dramatic moments, with the guns being tools of last resort.
I know I shouldn't be surprised by how unhinged they are but they still somehow manage to shock me.
I like diverse opinions too, but like "lower taxes are good for the economy" not "climate change is fake" or "trans people are all pedos and should be put to death".
Fuck their opinions.
There's a local brewing supply co that does cannister swaps for SodaStream things and I'm trying to figure out how to diplomatically ask "so are you actually paying SodaStream for rights to do this or are you just DIYing it?"
Since, like, I assume Canadian Tire pays SS for like official vendor status for swapping the cannisters.
And I don't wanna pay SodaStream. I mean I'm not gonna throw out my old stuff either, it still works, just needs fresh CO2.
I agree but the ability to have a public conversation with these organizations is excellent. It's something I've really missed since I left Twitter. "Hey fix this crappy problem!"
Right? Especially now that BSky and Threads are bridging to the Fediverse, it should be reasonable to have gov't run Mastodon instances.
You can't make observational comedy about being a young and hungry comedian/writer when you've spent the last decade being wealthy and out-of-touch.
If he was still clever, he probably could've threaded the transphobia needle and either figured a way to make it right or made it so funny that enough people would enjoy it regardless. But now he's cranky and spoiled by success so he's just going to get angry, which is even less funny.
