My opinion of JF1 is he struggles to read defenses. Specifically zone.
The games he’s done well, he’s doing well against man coverage. The qbr in the 2min window plays into that opinion - he has less time pre snap to try to recognize the defense and does very poorly.

I can absolutely seen a situation where two packages get called or there is confusion on the side lines. You hear the STC call your package and you run out to the field. Then a flag flies. You come back to the sidelines pissed off.
“Dude called x package. I just did what I’m told.”
He’s not. That’s the problem.
He was “generational talent” up until he played a tough team…..annnd the next time he played a tough team. He looks like nfl material in that a desperate team should give him a go. Very seriously his best asset right now is the lack of other prospects in his draft class.
I’d feel like we wasted the #1 overall pick, took two steps backward in QB development and Poles would be on the hot seat to either magic up a playoff birth or be out of a job.
If I was looking to become a GM I’d start building a relationship with Bears ownership the day after the first round.
