Easy to get the ball out quick when you aren’t reading the defense.

You people are nuts. You're talking about an undrafted DII rookie, with 3 games under his belt. Maybe he's great, Mayne he sucks. More realistically, maybe he's a solid backup. Chill the fuck out.

Dak? Where are you?

[–] idk_wtf_im_hodling@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Rookie QB in his 3rd game has high int. %. Next at 5pm, ice cream makes you fat

[–] Additional_Pain7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yep. Not to mention an Undrafted Div 2 Rookie QB.

His QBR is still over 20 points higher than Fields but the ignorant “fans” (who’d rather take sides on a stupid QB debate instead of rooting for the TEAM) always find a way to cherry pick stats to support their “argument”

[–] cramiz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's why he's the goat!

[–] I_A1ways_1ose@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sample size

[–] hyperbowle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

UDFA Rookie from DII with 2 career starts is only a negligible margin worse than 10 year veteran jimmy g trained by tom brady himself with a super bowl start and 2 rings as a backup.. god jimmy g SUCKS

[–] NardDwag@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tyson Bagent is the poor man’s Craig Krenzel

[–] GoGoGoRL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And he’s a rookie in his first couple starts, fields looked objectively worst in his first start (Cleveland) than Bagent did but people still won’t have patience for Bagent lol. To be clear, I don’t think either QB will be the answer, but Bagent has more reason to excuse his bad play at this point in his career than fields.

[–] BRUISE_WILLIS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I'm thinking this d2 udfa might not be the hof qb some may have thought...

[–] t-pat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's not a Hall of Fame QB, but throwing a bunch of picks in his first three starts as a rookie is not the reason why

I don't care about any of this. I want my team to win and be successful. If it's Bagent that does it for the season, fine. Fields? Also fine. Just fire Flus and Getsy.

[–] hammerSmashedNail@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sounded like he was more aware of his limitations and errors in judgement during his press meeting yesterday. Hopefully today is a stat padding game and the bears win.

We're #1! We're #1! We're #1!

[–] AdStreet2074@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Both are bad QBs but one is a ufda rookie and the other is a third year first round QB…

[–] Weekly_Bug_4847@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

2 Bears QB in the top 10, woo!

It’s funny how some degenerates in this sub like to pounce on every little negative stat about Bagent. Jfc he’s a UDFA D2 rookie who has made 3 starts midway through a season due to starting QB injury. It’s amazing that he has looked pretty competent outside of his mistakes

[–] LinuxF4n@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Peyton Manning had 28 int his rookie season. Dude is totally a bust.

[–] tripbin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ya this shits annoying. No shit he's not great he's a d2 qb thrown in to the fire on the worst nfl team. This person's post purely exists not to point out flaws with baget or to help him but purely as feed for the NBA fans...sorry "NFL" fans who care more about following individual players around like real housewives rather then watch a team compete.

Honestly I kinda hope calab is a douchbag. As long as he's good I don't care and then maybe our fanbase won't form a parasocial relationship with him the moment he's drafted (who am I kidding)

I want to see him do well but I am expecting another INT tonight, he’s a rookie coming from D2, these NFL guys are fast as hell at this level.

[–] OkBoomer6919@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I expect multiple, but maybe some TDs will be caught too. Velus Jones not dropping everything and Mooney not quitting on a play might help.

[–] backattack88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Exactly, he needs a couple years to adjust to NFL speed. Just like most QBs need. He's got the potential to be a very solid backup in the NFL for a decade.

We have two guys in the top 10! Woohoo! Oh wait.

[–] bill24681@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ol Fields not too far behind at 3.7 with 30 starts under his belt.

[–] OldmanLister@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is dumb meatball shit.

Dude is a undrafted rookie with a horrible OC on a bad offense.

Criticizing him for this is bananas .

[–] BR1M570N3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We're #1!!! Wait. Oh.

BOOOOOO!!!!

[–] altitties@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We’re number one babyyy let’s goooo

[–] Silver_Harvest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (4 children)

The piece I like the most, when watching the games. Both completely different QBs, making the same mistakes in the same spaces over the middle in the same exact way. Which to me is more damning to Getsy then either of them, getting coached to do the exact same thing.

[–] shadow_chasing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I feel like you're convincing yourself that this is true, but all those years of you telling yourself you have eidetic memory have been a lie

Love to see Bears players holding records

[–] smile_drinkPepsi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Idk how the bears keep getting it wrong. First Mitch could read Defs then Justin now Tyson. It’s the system as a whole

[–] Jasader@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bagent clearly reads the defense better than Fields.

I just think he isn't as prepared for the athleticism and speed of the NFL as of yet. Going from D2 to NFL is a pretty substantial jump. I think some of his INTs were throws he could easily complete in college but that window is shut in the NFL.

I also don't think he is our savior at QB.

[–] hahasuslikeamongus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bagent edges out pj walker again

[–] Ineedajobbrah@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can’t wait to witness him turn this HoF career around.

[–] M1Garand00294@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hopefully he continues to improve and learn. He’s exciting to watch and I hope he locks down the backup role for awhile here.

[–] BIG_FICK_ENERGY@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Anyone who genuinely expected Bagent to come in and take the starting job was deluding themselves. He's a career backup at best, and that's perfectly fine.

Bagent is so fucking boring to watch and he can’t even manage that

New franchise QB right there. MNF was right, Fields needs to sit and learn from the master.

[–] sinisterkid34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah he’s an undrafted rookie

[–] juliuspepperwoodchi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Remind me again why people think he's more fun to watch than JF1?

[–] sublogic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bagent has made changes to the play call multiple times. Seeing a QB understand that he is being led astray by his coaching staff and try to fix it himself is more exciting than the guy blindly following.

[–] imjacksissue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

. . . but he throws those ints with such poise, understanding of the system and quick release.

[–] industrialbird@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yeah he stinks, so what?

[–] Subby13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah having an awful game when you’ve only played 3 will do that.

[–] TheLuo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Think what you’re doing here.

You’re dogging a undrafted D2 QB in his first few starts. TF did you expect?

Wow you guys need more love in your life.

[–] RollofDuctTape@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who cares. He’s got a cannon.

[–] ItsEaster@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lol that they can’t even give the guy a picture when he’s started three games now.

[–] -MichaelScarnFBI@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You can say what you want, but Bagent is definitely reading the defense. It’s obviously going to take him some time to acclimate to the speed and athleticism of NFL defenses. Passing windows are smaller and close much sooner. Fields looked atrocious in his first two and a half games too.

[–] losvedir@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hey, a catch is a catch.
