Please send them solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries. Not fossil fuels!

Unfortunately aircraft still run on fossil fuels, which is a big part of getting goods into the country.

Also ships, but I’m not sure if the blockade is effectively stopping everything, or just oil tankers.

In a somewhat sick kind of way, would be kinda cool if they start using sailing yachts for local trade since they don’t have any fuel.

Ships have run on wind for a lot longer than humans have discovered how to make internal combustion engines..

... which I did mention… but there aren’t a whole lot of sail based cargo ships around anymore.

Longer term yeah, moving away from petroleum is obviously the move. But they need stuff now. And again, air travel is a huge problem right now. It’s hard to send aid there when the planes cant refuel. Not impossible, just more of a logistical problem.

People literally paddled between Florida and Cuba. Crocodiles migrate between the two. They're very close.

Yeah, I'd love to see something like a Gaza flotilla of sail boats going from the Keys to Cuba to deliver aid like renewables

you have no idea how a power grid works.

Cuba already has large solar farms.

Decentralized grids is the solution. Other Caribian islands have done it.

Just because the grid is centralized doesn't mean it needs to be that way. You sound old.
