Listen, if Trump winning is the default outcome of your democracy, I guess he’s the most democratic option. Sounds like a shitty democracy if you ask me but who am I to judge

shrug-outta-hecks

[–] YourMom@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago

Just admit you love Trump

[–] copandballtorture@hexbear.net 49 points 1 year ago

For every scary college student demanding the Democrats do SOMETHING to earn her vote, there are a dozen McDonald's-working, Walmart-shopping moms who would vote Dem if given even the smallest bit of voter outreach

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 46 points 1 year ago (1 children)

either you need my vote, in which case why aren't you acting like it

or you don't need my vote, in which case shut up and fuck off lol

[–] YourMom@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Maybe you should try not voting for trump? Because that's what you're doing by not voting.

[–] huf@hexbear.net 43 points 1 year ago (2 children)

if the people who stay home matter the most, why isnt anything being done to win them over?

[–] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago

But they're looking into rescheduling weed to only be schedule 2, does that not count?

[–] YourMom@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

What do you mean? They already picked Trump by staying home.

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 37 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I'm not going to vote, but if someone put a gun to my head and made me vote for one of the two main candidates I would vote for Trump before genocide Joe, just to punish the Democrats for their zionism and genocidal behavior. They deserve to be sent into the wilderness to lick their wounds and think about what they did wrong.

These Liberals should probably think twice about trying to compel people like me to vote.

[–] DyingOfDeBordom@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

honestly I think trump or any republican in office is the better outcome solely for the fact that it mobilizes liberals to actually give a fuck about the horrors the U.S. is perpetrating both at home and abroad

they turn into absolute mindless sleepwalking sheep whenever a democrat is in office and are willing to debase themselves and others to no end to defend even their most egregious offenses

Maybe a republican in office will result in those offenses being worse but at least liberals will give a shit about them.

i don't feel strongly enough about this to go vote for trump but it's the main reason I really don't give a single fucking fuck about the election. I watched these people turn off their brains the moment Biden was inaugurated, if they were ever on to begin with

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 21 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yeah as soon as Trump gets into office we're going to hear all the liberals actually start calling it a genocide and echo what we've been saying since October 7th. Suddenly they'll start giving a fuck when it's Trump shipping Israel a boatload of weapons every 36 hours.

[–] DyingOfDeBordom@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago

it's so fucking wild knowing that this is how it is, but then these people get off calling leftists brainwashed? like we watch them react like this in real time over and over and over and over

[–] Optimus_Subprime@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah as soon as Trump gets into office we're going to hear all the liberals

...yelling and screaming at the top of their lung, saying how Russia interfered with the election, how we cost Genocide Joe the election, how we are Hamas, etc.

Just every bit of LIB fuckery you can think of but not taking any repsonsibility for the loss. lathe-of-heaven

[–] KurtVonnegut@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Also, when the liberals do their January 6th, it will be so fucking funny.

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago

Nah it will be corny and lame, libs are far too image conscious and wimpy to do anything truly funny

[–] DyingOfDeBordom@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago (3 children)

what would a liberal jan 6 even look like, barging into a place is uncivil so like what, a candlelight vigil somewhere? I don't even know

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 21 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Quietly filing into the senate chambers to sing Hamilton songs

Which is I thing I think they did once

[–] Angel@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

If I can prove that I never touched my balls

[–] nohaybanda@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They’ll be extra sad at brunch probably

[–] DyingOfDeBordom@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

ohhhh! that's it, they'll go occupy some democrat's brunch somewhere (not even a republican's brunch)

[–] BennyHill@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 year ago

Start a petition

[–] theposterformerlyknownasgood@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They will literally never reconsider. Losing to trump the first time did not convince them. After Bush stole the election they still called for compromise.

[–] 420blazeit69@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

Depends which "they" we're talking about. The old guard of the party didn't blink at 2016, but most voters and probably most younger party workers did want a change of direction (to varying degrees). Bernie was the most popular candidate in 2020, and Medicare for All was so universally supported that everyone but Biden (lol) claimed to support some version of it. It took a primary screwjob without modern precedent and covid throwing the race into chaos to derail all that.

[–] DrCrustacean@hexbear.net 33 points 1 year ago

12 months ago these guys were talking about how they don't need our votes to win

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 28 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Well, Dems better start appealing to leftist voters then and get some shit done quick if they don't want Trump

[–] YourMom@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

Wow, just admit you support Trump. It's easier

[–] SnowySkyes@hexbear.net 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I hate this shit where people feel like they’re entitled to my vote. Go to hell. Get a better platform that’s not headlined by genocide and various other things I’m not gonna list cause I feel like ass right now.

[–] YourMom@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

Bernie lost. Get over it. You sound jealous at this point tbh

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 year ago

Wait.

If not voting is a vote for Trump then voting for Trump is two votes for Trump! Biden could win by locking them up for voter fraud. 😎 🍦

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago

maybe-later-kiddo You HAVE to vote for Biden or else Cheeto Hitler will gas you in the chambers, Hassan!!

dem don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. Compromise and I might vote for you

maybe-later-kiddo …. —-> freedom-and-democracy

[–] radiofreeval@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At this point Biden could shot someone in the middle of sixth avenue and not lose any voters

[–] Starlet@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

I'd honestly be more inclined to vote for him.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Maybe there are people out there who don't spend every waking moment worrying about Trump cause he's a pathetic blowhard who should never be taken seriously. I'm sure Trump would rather people not vote than vote for his competition cause that makes it easier to win. If you're old enough to vote you already know this
