Since 1975 $79 trillions flew from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. That's twice amount as our current national debt.

Lemmy is broken. It's only letting me upvote you once. I want to upvote many times.

Some of the graphs are useful, but the message that site is pushing is weird gold-bug propaganda.

And tonight, Trump claimed that millions of dead people between the ages of 100 and 360 were collecting Social Security checks. That is an outrageous lie intended to lay the groundwork for cuts to Social Security and dismantling the most successful and popular government program in history.

Initially read as "eaten". Disappointed when I re read.

Same. But, if we beat them first, they might taste better.

Always a good idea to tenderise your oligarchs before consumption.

That's the amazing thing human society. We all hold the power controlled by the few. Yet we all choose to believe that we can't do anything about it all.

It was the same in the beginning, it was the same in the ancient past, it's still the same today.

Bernie shows us that US politics could be better, its just not.

I have a huge respect for Bernie. During his first presidential run, he got many young people at the time (myself included) engaged politically and hopeful. I know he’s got lots of detractors, but frankly, lots of people online shit talk lots of things be it about politics or anything else, and typically don’t offer tangible solutions themselves.
