This is my shower. It has 12 heads and consumes ten thousand gallons of deionized water per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to use this shower... for twelve seconds.

[–] FilthyShrooms@lemmy.world 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Real talk tho, this probably has only about 5 minutes of hot water before your hot water tank is empty

[–] Fraylor@lemm.ee 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Tankless water heater baby. But lemme tell ya what it would BLOW to take a shower in that without power. A cold shower is rough enough without 11 extra heads blasting you.

[–] Zetta@mander.xyz 1 points 2 years ago

I bet you'd need an extraordinarily large and commercial tankless water heater to keep up with this beast

[–] RedditWanderer@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

You just need to go live near an ice cap

[–] empireOfLove@lemmy.one 45 points 2 years ago (3 children)

30 gallons per minute flow rate, house plumbing has to be upgraded to an 1 ½" mainline to support it lmfao

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 20 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Pioneers are not daunted by mere tech specs

[–] empireOfLove@lemmy.one 8 points 2 years ago

Of course. For nothing is impossible if you have enough money to throw at the problem.

[–] Neato@kbin.social 9 points 2 years ago

Honey, we can't run the washing machine or wash our hands for a new minutes. The Jones' are showering again.

[–] bobs_monkey@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

And immediately illegal in the state of California lol

When I have a baby and it poops itself, it will be placed in the pressure wash room for sanitisation

[–] fulcrummed@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago (1 children)

In our house that’s the dishwasher.

[–] fulcrummed@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Nah, you only try that once - too many bruises.

[–] rmuk@feddit.uk 4 points 2 years ago

Not to mention smashed plates.

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 8 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Honestly, at least for us just taking the baby with us into the shower was much easier and more relaxing than bathing it.

[–] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I would be so afraid of dropping the soapy baby

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 3 points 2 years ago

Until we knew how to hold it well we'd only enter the showers together and one would hold the child while the other one would wash it.

[–] bigkahuna1986@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

My daughter loved it when we held her with her scalp just under the shower. She would keep pushing backwards in my arms until I got it just right

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 27 points 2 years ago

For those who want a bathing experience that feels like a decontamination after an industrial accident.

[–] PatFussy@lemm.ee 27 points 2 years ago

Imagine being short and getting waterboarded every time you wanna shower. Good times

[–] BlinkerFluid@lemmy.one 23 points 2 years ago

Only if the bottom is a turntable so I can spin.

[–] nodsocket@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Enjoy getting sprayed in the face

[–] TheYear2525@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago

I always do

[–] Achyu@lemmy.sdf.org 15 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Lots of water/energy wastage, if they do not have an efficient water recycling system tho

[–] eezeebee@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 years ago

I wonder though, if this could get you clean in 30-60 seconds how much water usage would it be compared to a regular shower. Bonus efficiency if it can spray soap instead of applying it manually.

[–] comfortable_doug@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

I wonder if it's like a dish washer or clothes washer and just has a certain amount of water it uses per shower and it recycles that water back onto you the whole time

[–] lars@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago
[–] Dustwin@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 years ago

Ooooh I'd love to see a diagram of the plumbing.... maybe two, idea and actual haha

[–] beef_curds@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Seems annoying if you're trying not to get your hair wet. Or imagine if you had to use a shower chair lmao.

The superior shower configuration is just the humble detachable handheld showerhead. Put the water right where you need it.

[–] lurkeymclerkface@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

"right where you need it"

[–] Wage_slave@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

For the person who always complains that there isn't enough pressure or coverage in their shower.......

too tall, cleanest torso ever. too short, we hardly knew thee, sorry about the water boarding (as mentioned earlier by @PatFussy).

[–] Confused_Emus@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I tried a shower once with those jets coming from the sides. Tickled like crazy and I had to turn them off.

[–] Lober@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 years ago

Blade Runner shower

[–] Copythis@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

California is coming to arrest you!

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

But I like my skin...

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That just seems overwhelming. I don't need that much penis water. No matter where I turn, penis water.

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 3 points 2 years ago

Um. ...What!?

[–] yokonzo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I modded my shower to be a dual shower for me and my partner to shower together and when you're alone its kind of like this. Its not too bad but honestly it's not too different either, you're wet wither way but I suppose I could see some people preferring this

[–] iHUNTcriminals@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

That's what we had in highschool.

[–] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 years ago

When i went to italy every hotel had these
