I don't drop it but it does fall off things because I forgot it was there.

Rarely
I think I have dropped a phone either two or three times in the last fifteen years. But I still use a good case.
Once every 2-3 years maybe. Very rarely. I've never had a cracked screen (also not using any case or protectors).
Exactly this. I don't understand the crack screen people but to each their own :p
Once or twice every 4-5 years.
Same… once or twice per phone, always on carpet. I keep my phones 4-5 years.
Honestly, it's the same for me. I'm a very careful person and when it does happen, I feel a spike of both surprise and panick
This seems only specific, do you have a timer?
Y'all are crazy. Very responsible. I drop my phone every single day. Often outside onto the concrete. I break my screen protectors all the time. I've only ever messed up an actual screen once (stupid like wrap around screen so the case was not sufficient). I buy extremely cheap cases and screen protectors, and they always work.
I'm clumsy, but also I guess thoughtless. I'm constantly bending over to pick up my kid and it just tumbles out of my pockets. Idk. The screen protectors last between one week and 6 months. Usually a couple of months, but then the cracks/chips are so little I just take ages to replace it, so I'm only buying one like twice a year. You can get 3 for under 10 bucks so it's basically worth the cost to not have to be precious about your phone all the time.
I drop my phone every single day.
Lol. Thanks for replying, now I feel less bad for dropping my phone often 😅
Almost never, maybe once a year if that.
But I do consistently drop brand new phones within the first 3 months of owning it. Usually on concrete. Not intentionally of course.. yet for some reason it's happened to me every single time.
maybe once a month if even.
only phone I've ever catastrophically broken by drop is a Galaxy S20; curved screen edges are bad for durability. glad most phone manufacturers have axed it now.
A few times a year maybe, but I always use a case so it's fine.
All the time, this is why the only phone cases I trust are otterbox.
Probably multiple times a day.
Two to three times a year.
I have a benign tremor in both hands. I drop it several times a week. Sometimes just to the floor, sometimes, when I try to catch it and make things worse it's catapulted through the room somehow.
Don't know what nokia uses for their screens but I have this phone for the years now, no screen protector but a thin case and no cracks or dents.
Most phones within the past few years should be using Gorilla Glass 5, which is very drop-resistant.
The newer ones would be using Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+ which is (supposedly) even tougher.
Smartphones are getting better and better, and the only downside is the lack of repairability.
I remember those early 2015-ish era phones where the screen was easily scratched. I love to see how far the tech has gotten.
Almost never and I've never cracked a screen.
Probably weekly, I'm super clumsy
Daily, often numerous times a day. I like to juggle it when I walk, playing send me to heaven.
Almost four years now, no cracks.
A significant drop, maybe once every year or two. The first time I cracked the screen I resolved to always use those protective cover thingies, and they seem to work since I've never cracked the screen since.
I don't understand why so many people are saying they drop them so frequently. These are expensive pieces of hardware and it's not hard to hold them securely.
Idk maybe I watch too much Linus~~Tech~~DropTips and it became contageous.
Or maybe its because I have anxiety and I cant hold objects still.
lately? too damned often and now I need a new phone
everyday (its old, it doesnt care)
Since getting my first fragile smartphone (HTC Hero, 2009) I've zero phone drops on my soul. Guess the question is why drop phones? Daddy buys new one?
Shaky hands
Maybe anxiety
Maybe its a sign I'm about to die of undiagnosed health issues
🤷♂️
Maybe 2-3 times over the life of the phone.
Not often. Maybe once every half year.
Almost never. But if I ever do, I have one of those super thick bad ass cases that actually are meant to protect the device and not just change how it looks.
Almost never. I can only think of two or three times since my first iPhone 3gs.
Drop?
Drop it onto a chair (soft lazy boy style chair) a couple times a week.
Drop it in a floor or ground? 2 times a year. Maybe less.
I drop it often on the carpet by my couch, but outside of that, a couple times a year at most. I’ve only ever had a hairline crack on one phone out of many over the years. I also don’t use a case or screen protector.
Not often but I also barely use my phone, so ;)
Roughly 1-3 time a month.
At least monthly, if not weekly.
I've dropped a smartphone once several years ago. I think it was the Galaxy S5.
First day, hadn't put it in a case yet, dropped it, tried to catch it with my foot but ended up kicking it into the steel frame of a cubicle.
The side dented but it survived.
Before that, the last time I had dropped a phone was.. a Motorola Razr that I dropped from a 28' ladder and onto the sidewalk, no car or anything, worked fine and barely a scratch.
Otherwise basically never.
too often. but at least they're $50-80 flippers and not $1000 slabs.
Daily, but it's in a case and has a screen protector. Only has to last a few years anyway and minor damage doesn't prevent function is fine. The biggest scratch is under the case somehow, don't really understand that.
Lots (once a week) and otterbox works in keeping the device not broken.
Once in total, except on the grass where I throw it aside.
When I drop my phone, sometimes the back comes off and the battery falls out. Luckily the screen hasn't cracked yet.
Once a week?! Damn what are you doing with it. I think I have this phone for like a year now and I only "dropped" it once. And that wasn't even a drop, I was just holding it on a festival and some dude hit my phone and launched it 10 meters across the dancefloor. Luckily the case and the floor made of flexible wooden planks saved my phone.
My previous phone was a bit more slippery and would sometimes escape when I was changing clothes or something. But even then not remotely close to weekly.
I'm just holding it and then all of the sudden my hands malfunction and the phone leaves my hand.
suddenly my hands malfunction
Hahahaha, so much in life can be explained like this
Do you drop it more often at certain times? One time I dropped a phone and thought I was clumsy so I took the case off. That helped me realize I was just careless cuz I never dropped it again. But if it’s the former that might not work for you.
On my face in bed? Many times haha. Apart from that almost never. Have never cracked a screen or body of a phone, touch wood, in 20 years or whatever it has been of having smart phones.
Never. Why would you drop your phone?
I had a long period that I never did. I've became much less careless since and nowdays I'd say I drop it once every 2 to 3 months.
