A Reddit comment by user “Damichia480” in the “Conservative” subreddit reads:

It too late he straight up broke every campaign promise.

“No new wars” Bombed iran and is about to fund Urkaine like Biden did

“Mass deportation” not enough and is keeping the illegal immigrants working as slaves and H1B

“I will release the Epstien files” “The flies on my desk” - Pam Bondi. Recanted everything he said and say there no flies and Republicans BLOCKED the release

Patel was hired to take care of the deep state but he is no different from them

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

RIP MAGA we been terribly lied to and betrayed by the people that shouldve served us but they devolved into being part of the establishment.

Hey, OP, per Rule 4, can you add alt text to the post?

Edit: Thanks, OP!

Hands down the dumbest people I've ever personally witnessed in my life or ever read about in the annals of history.

I had no clue before the last decade that people without actual, physical brain damage could be this stupid.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Technically every American in their 40s was poisoned as children with lead in the air we all technically have brain damage. Not saying it's the cause of any of this shit, but pushing everyone down a few rungs sure didn't help things.

My scumbag step-sister and her dumbass husband we're all gung ho about Trump because he was going to "bring America back" and other incoherent hillbilly shit like that. It was funny watching them act like they were anti-Trump from the word go when everyone found out that MAGA meant they were going to lose all the state aid they rely on.

Wild that one if their issues is there haven't been enough deporting.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 59 points 3 days ago

That's because the person wants the horrible things to happen and is just mad that Trump isn't following through on the horrible stuff they care about.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Obama actually deported more than trump, and Trump won't be able to catch his numbers. Trump is just doing it in an abominable fashion.

[–] DogWater@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago

I think that's because Obama was turning people away at border crossings which count as deportations

That's what I have read was the reason his numbers were so high

Not that I agree with it either way but there's a big difference between that and the suffering being inflicted by Trump's policies

[–] Natanael 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"not enough deportations"? How many drugs are he on?

[–] Wolf@lemmy.today 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Right, hundreds of goons daily attacking pretty much any Latino they see, including U.S. citizens and people 'trying to do it the right way' and building a concentration camp in the swamp- but that's not enough for these bigoted assholes.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 4 points 2 days ago

They where told it would be done in a few days, a massive purge. For the average rasist maga fan, it would never be enough.

Please let epstien be the catalyst to bring all this shit to an end. So fitting it would be.

How do we live in a world where the best hope for positive change is the legacy of the leader of a pedophile sex-trafficking operation?

It's wild that this person thinks there isn't enough mass deportation happening. Just goes to show that even as his face gets eaten he's still a shitty human being.

Oh look, the useful moron realized he was used. If only they could realize how fucking stupid they are and stop listening to obvious liars merely parroting what they want to hear...

Every once in a while, MAGA is so close to getting it. But they never seem to be able to connect the dots.

The spell ain't lifting broseph MAGA said all this shit first term but they still kept sucking on it and got him a second term.

[–] auraithx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I’ve known Trump supporters irl since then and this is the first time they’ve cracked.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago (8 children)

Will they stay cracked or will they just go back to their knees. That's the real question.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 days ago

Stay cracked. It may take years to work out, though.

No, cults do not have permanent control over peoples minds. People do leave. When there's big events like this that expose problems in the group, lots of people towards the edges will take off. Those who remain are the really devoted ones. It may take decades or even centuries to truly disappear (there's still a few Shakers out there), but MAGA doesn't have to shrink that much before it's no longer a meaningful political force.

"devolved into part of the establishment"

No dude, they were like this the whole time, but very good at the grift.

[–] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Were they really that good, though? I'm not particularly intelligent and it has been obvious for years, and mindbogglingly obvious for the last ten.

[–] Jack_Burton@lemmy.ca 15 points 3 days ago

I hate to say bit, but yes, they were very good. There's a fine line to walk when turning a functional democracy into a totalitarian fascist state. It was obvious to roughly half the population, but the other half bought the lie. It's not easy to keep that many people hoodwinked when there's a nearly equal number screaming the obvious. They did just enough, but didn't go far enough to tip the scales against them. Until now anyway.

I really really hope that this is the "new generation" of Republicans (the Vances, the Johnsons, the Hegseths) that could have taken it to the finish line that their predecessors (like McConnell) have spent their lives patiently moving the pieces to only to lose it all because these greedy idiots are speed-running the last mile and tipping the scales. Fingers crossed.

Mass deportation isn't enough? If there was any doubt they want to get rid of all non whites this is it.

And anyone against giving Ukraine weapons doesn't know fuck all about history. Everyone thought they could sit out the Nazis until they were invaded.

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 19 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah that stuck out too, and the part about illegal immigrants working as slaves. Like, yes, that isn’t good. But the solution is to….? Deport them? What?

"You promised to be horrible to the people I wanted you to be horrible to, and it's turned out that you're not horrible in the way I wanted you to be."

[–] Booboofinget@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Or more like "you promised to be horrible to the people I wanted you to be horrible to. Why are you being horrible to me?!!?"

It's worse that that, they didn't devolve into being part of the establishment, they hoodwinked you and played you for fools the whole time.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 34 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The thing is, absolutely no one could have foreseen such a horrible outcome.

Damichia480, the problem called itself the solution and you're dumb enough to believe it. Fuck you.

The narrative on r/conservative has been broken for days now. Normally by now they are back to talking points. Have they finally broken?

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I love that rather than believe they were lied to, they turn to the "establishment" corrupting their boy, instead of their boy corrupting the establishment. It's almost too funny if you weren't one of the most powerful nations.

Everyone is just casually overlooking the flies on Pam Bondi's desk. Why is nobody asking who shit on her desk?

Silicon Valley, Wall Street, J Street, and Israel are getting exactly what they asked for.

I don't see what the problem is.

they devolved into being part of the establishment.

I like how they think voting for people who most benefit from the system and who the system is made for and modelled after was never the mistake. Those people just weren't strong enpugh, somehow, to be corrupted by that system.

To all the liberals reading these diatribes from disillusioned MAGAs, the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy. Even if they feel betrayed by their glorious leader, the things he has done are still within the playbook that those people voted for.

They will never "come around" to seeing what is wrong. They just feel put out cause their sugar daddy didn't give them the car they wanted (the Epstein files). He will inevitably do something horrendous that will get them clapping along to the fascist tune again.

[–] Lumisal@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The original quote, "the enemy of my enemy if my friend" isn't about befriending your enemy, it's about using them to fight the bigger enemy.

The goal shouldn't be to get them to become progressive (right now) but to push on how they were wrong, and that Trump is a lie so that they can turn on Trump.

Most of these people are terrible people. But if they're infighting it's better for humanity than if they continue lock in step.

I’m getting too hopeful about all this. That this will be Trump’s watergate.

I know there’s a good chance everyone stops caring but I really hope this sinks him.
