No suits either!

[–] 6nk06@sh.itjust.works 82 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The ungrateful idiots will still vote for him next time.

[–] Inaminate_Carbon_Rod@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

They’ll just tick the box next to Nazis’[R]’Us everytime.

[–] SereneSadie@lemmy.myserv.one 11 points 2 weeks ago

They won't need Yall'Qaeda shoving guns in their faces to do it either.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 71 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So...he thinks they should thank him for putting tariffs on imported beef, but doesn't understand why they would be upset that he's now planning to import enough foreign beef to tank the local market?

I don't know why I'm always surprised by just how stupid he is. It's like every time I think he can't get any stupider...he just lowers the bar again. It's actually kind of amazing. There truly is no bottom.

[–] thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org 28 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

if you consider that his agenda is to destroy the USA, it makes perfect sense

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 2 weeks ago

Nah, he's just an idiot.

Strong, across the board tariffs are something that only Trump wanted. There were two dueling arguments in Project 2025 on this. One wanted the right-libertarian solution of no tariffs at all. The other wanted some tariffs raised on specific things. Neither wanted high tariffs on every country for everything.

It is a solution Trump has personally proposed for a long time, He thinks of himself as a unique economic genius; the only one who sees how tariffs could work. He doesn't consider at all that tariffs used to be a common solution and were abandoned as an economic tool by everyone for a reason. It can be a tool for international politics, but not economics.

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I'm sure he doesn't INTEND to destroy the United States, but he just doesn't really care if he does.

It's more like he found a lab that will pay people to participate in clinical trials, and he's signed all of us up to participate in all of them, and he keeps the money.

"Sure, some of you might die, or grow an extra appendage, but the money I'll make is worth it."

Welcome cattle ranchers to the revolution

[–] MyBrainHurts@piefed.ca 41 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

"Who are you gonna believe, me or your lying revenue flows?"

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

Just gotta fake it til you make it, i.e. cook the books and take loans out against the falsely inflated value of the business. Surely you can recoup the money plus interest plus enough to make up for the lack of money that led you down this path to begin with, and won't have to take out increasingly larger loans from increasingly shady entities.

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 31 points 2 weeks ago

Aaannnd they'll vote for him again anyway in 2028.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

most likely Argentina offered Trump a % of what they received from the US government towards his businesses, that's important for him, farmers? totally not his problem

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 2 weeks ago

Exactly!

Its so stupid and simple and obvious is absolutely on brand for Trump.

We need $20b.

Sure ok how about $40b. You could invest half in this amazing new crypto coin.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 27 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

He's installed. He's got no intention of going anywhere. He doesn't need their "votes" anymore. So he doesn't give a shit.

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Agreed, but I also think his mental deterioration has reached a point where he's having trouble filtering his thoughts, even for those who traditionally support him.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'd say he's been in trouble since 2021 or 2022. That's when I noticed him really starting to lose it. I think he's in worse shape than even the haters on here know.

We mainly read the highlights of his idiot speeches. Listening to the whole thing really puts in context how wasted his brain is. When you hear him start out reasonable, go off the fucking rails, back to somewhat sensible, back off the rails, damn, it's scary.

Commented here a few times, how long will his handlers allow him in public?

[–] ZoopZeZoop@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I think they're less worried about the public at this point. They have what they want. No government or military entity can/is willing to stop them. It's up to the people now.

[–] Prathas@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

He doesn't need their "votes" anymore. So he doesn't give a shit.

This actually brings up a good point: each new president should be on probation for their first year, with people being able to re-vote the next year if things don't go how they expected (I know, I know, but I'm just speaking in general).

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 24 points 2 weeks ago

Hurt me more poopy pants daddy man!

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 20 points 2 weeks ago

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

how that dick taste, MAGA farmers?

[–] InputZero@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Like a red Vote in 2026, and 2028, and 2030, and every election between now and their deaths because they'll say, "As much stuff as president Trump does, he's still not a Democrat."

It's important to remember that these people were lied to on every issue except immigration. They come by their anger honestly, and y'all are going to need those votes in 2026 if you want any hope of changing anything.

[–] Archer@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

It’s not like they’re ever going to change voting for him. At this point, why care?

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Because they actually might. These economic conditions are threatening their very survival.

So don't let schadenfreude make you stupid.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He did the exact same thing to farmers in his last term and the still voted for him again.

We were all lied to. They need to take the blame for believing any of this BS. Seriously. How far can your head fit inside your own ass to believe a fucking word from this administration? Ugh. I'd agree with you about votes if I thought there was any chance of a fair election, but the last one wasn't fair, and they are making sure the next ones are less so.

They were lied to on immigration as well. But the problem is they have to realize they were being lied to on the other stuff too.

May every cattle rancher either go out of business, or be smart enough to convert to a business model that doesn't involve horrific suffering and exploitation of animals. 🙏
