“I hope people today feel a lot more confident that Canada works than they did a couple of days ago,” Smith told her convention Friday. Boos rang out from the Edmonton Expo Centre seats — the kind that partisans normally direct at mention of the other guys, not their own leader and the notion that this country can work.

Then, not long after the first round of boos Smith received, she got them again for replying to Rath’s remarks that she advocates the halfway-there idea of “an independent Alberta within a united Canada.”

Oh uh, It looks like someone is losing control of the monster they helped create.

We should let Alberta seperate, but offer all Albertans who wish to leave full Canadian citizenship and a grant to relocate. You stay you become an Albertan citizen and are stripped of Canadian citizenship. Watch how fast they beg to come back when no one wants to live there.

And meanwhile we build a fuckin superhighway and high-speed rail up and over the province

As an Albertan, I'd be fine with this. I plan on staying on the farm my great-grandfather died to keep in WW2 when he fought for this country. Smith and her sycophants can fuck off to Magastan.

I'll still be hated by everyone else in Canada because I'm Albertan, but I can live with that.
