On PC I use my instance's website, on phone I use Voyager

[–] Cort@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

I used sync for Lemmy and Reddit, but switched to eternity like 6 months ago.

Very similar layout options & oled black night mode.

Doesn't work: Spoilers Gifs & Gboard gif search

Everything else is fine.

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

I've never used an app for Lemmy just the mobile browser.

[–] tomi000@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Boost. Only problem I have is videos often only play in thumbnail and load infinitely when clicked on. Not that important for me though.

With Jerboa and Voyager there were a lot of small problems that just made the experience worse.

[–] TisI@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 hours ago

Having tried almost all apps for Lemmy, Summit is the best. Not only is it feature rich, it also let's me view some content from instances that don't load for me on other clients. And this apparently only happens on Lemmy.zip.

Jerboa. I find the UI very nice. Right around amount of info and density (i hate excessive padding), fully customizable colors, not 1 glitch

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 54 minutes ago

The only issue I ever experienced on Jerboa was gifs just not playing until you clicked on them and you never knew if something was supposed to be a gif or not.

I had to check, but voyager, evidently.

Are you me? This is exactly what I needed too because I was on Sync for years now and had no idea development stopped. Started to notice a lot of small issues here and there with it and finally saw there's been no updates on almost 2 years.

I tried Voyager and I liked the gestures for votes and being able to customize things pretty well. Also trying out Boost right now and I like how familiar it is to me since I used it on Reddit, but now I'm missing the gestures.

[–] HatchetHaro@pawb.social 6 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I use Boost. Not open-source, but the ads are non-intrusive to me and it just feels like home.

[–] winkerjadams@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 7 hours ago

I just paid the $5 or whatever. Felt right to support the dev after using it on reddit for so long

I'm using Jerboa, even though I saw what Blorp is like, and I'm preparing g to switch (just used to Jerboa UI)

[–] moseschrute@lemmy.zip 1 points 58 minutes ago

Blorp dev here. We’d love to have you! Let me know if there is anything preventing you from switching that I can improve.

I have you voted +5 right now actually (including this).

[–] alsaaas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

If you want to break peoples profiles, Voyager is the way!

+1 for Voyager from me

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 25 points 22 hours ago

Top voted this is what I'm going with

[–] kingofras@lemmy.world 19 points 22 hours ago (6 children)

Voyager but the lack of the language field is not great. Posting with Voyager gets you less reach

Firefox on mobile.

[–] SlartyBartFast@sh.itjust.works 10 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Voyager, but I wish I could see other people's modlogs, they sound funny

[–] Theatomictruth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I’d never looked at mine before now, apparently I’ve been banned from a couple communities for being an “anti-ai troll”, presumably for downvoting something at some point.

[–] c0dezer0@programming.dev 1 points 11 hours ago

Theoretically you shouldn't be banned for things that happen outside a community unless it's very severely.

[–] Montagge@lemmy.zip 6 points 14 hours ago

Interstellar and Voyager

[–] Maiq@piefed.social 35 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Summit and Interstellar are my two favorite's right now.

[–] Vegan_Joe@lemmy.world 20 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I second Summit.

I still have Sync because I transitioned with it from Reddit, but Summit is now my daily driver.

Boost (Android)

It was the best app for Reddit before. Now it's the best app for Lemmy.

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 1 points 54 minutes ago

Using paid Boost. Worth it.

[–] shadshack@feddit.online 1 points 6 hours ago

Ditto Boost. I have accounts on Lemmy and PieFed both on the same app.

[–] Argyle13@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago

Boost as well, used Sync but now it is a mess

Eternity. I didn't like Voyager, too many bells and whistles.

Eternity is pretty simple, no user avatars, allows faster reading of actual content.

I like reading other peoples perspectives her, and Eternity does not seem to be recieving regular bug-fixes. So many Voyager Enjoyers that I may give it another try.

Thunder. Cross-platform and it has a very nice uncluttered UI. Works with piefed too.

[–] ThisGuyThat@lemmy.world 19 points 22 hours ago
[–] Libb@piefed.social 2 points 13 hours ago

I use the Website, on my computer. I don't use Lemmy (and use no other social at all) on the phone.

[–] flabbergast@lemmy.world 16 points 22 hours ago

Connect. With Voyager as comparison.

[–] karashta@piefed.social 4 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Blorp for piefed and Lemmy
