Didn’t Jim want full control in a GM/Coach type of way from previous interviews or am I wrong on that? I do want Ben Johnson/ Bieniemy for offensive reasons but having Harbaugh in here to change the culture, not saying those others can’t, would be huge.
Chicago Bears
Trust me, you dont want Ben Johnson. He sent his kids to bed early on Halloween just so he could eat all their Reese’s cups. He makes old ladies help HIM cross the street. and he gambles on hella games, Jameson Williams was just his fall guy when he got caught. Seriously, you dont want him. Better if he stays in Detroit
I hope not y’all are going to hate it when his playbook of 2 plays (hb dive and pa dive) doesn’t translate to the nfl
Maybe it was just Reddit banter that I read but I believe Kevin Warren despises Harbaugh? Is that not accurate?
Let the hate flow through you and feel it’s power.
This Jim Harbaugh thing is so fucking obvious. It's a layup! Just hit the fucking layup, George! Do what the Cubs did and make a move to win! Hire Harbaugh!
If Harbaugh can get Fields to play like Kaepernick did
I'm worried that he didn't even want to interview him last cycle.
Why would they do that? Harbaugh is a big asshole with a big personality, people like that terrify McCaskey.
Perhaps someone other than a guy at the heart of a major “integrity of the sport” scandal?
Honestly I’m feeling the same way
My own conspiracy theory is the Bears are the ones who started all this to get Harbaugh out of Michigan
I would be curious on Kevin Warrens take on the situation. I definitely think Harbaugh goes back to the NFL and we would be a good team for him to want to go to since we have plenty of cap space and draft picks, but the former Big Ten Commish may have strong feelings for the whole "integrity of the game" stuff
I feel that, but his time with the big 10 is over. He can have his opinions, but his responsibility; first and foremost, is to make this a winning organization.
I hope we get harbaugh too tbh
youre not the only one, but youre all idiots
I don't understand why people think Harbaugh would even get in trouble for this. Clearly Connor Stallions was a loose cannon lone wolf operating independently and without the knowledge of team leadership... Clearly. Right?
He would instantly be the most accomplished head coach of the Bears since Ditka. Anybody not rooting for him to coach this team needs to have their head checked.
He had three good seasons in San Francisco, one mediocre one, and the team was on a downward trajectory when he left. He’s never won a title anywhere, and now that he’s finally got Michigan competing for a title after 8 years his organization is falling apart, which seems to happen everywhere he goes. Let’s not pretend like he’s Vince Lombardi.
Why aren't the Bears interested in Bill Bellicheck?
Be interesting if both Harbaugh and Bellichick hit the market at the same time
Honestly I'm worried about Mark Davis, if their interim coach gets fired for whatever reason at the end of the season and it ends up being a rat race between Chicago and LVR, Mark Davis will outbid us very easily.
I've at various times been on the Harbaugh to the Bears bandwagon, but it's just a poor fit right now.
Let's ignore the sign stealing stuff. One of Harbaugh's assistants was fired in the winter for computer crimes inside the football facility. A low level staffer was just fired for underage solicitation.
Bears have had to fire 2 of their own coaches for HR reasons. We need someone who will right the ship and set a better culture top to bottom and Harbaugh's not gonna be that guy
First off every team every where tries to steal signs so who cares about that. The culture fixes itself by winning, Harbaugh is a proven winner in college and nfl. Who the fuck cares about sign stealing when every team does it. This was a dumb ass statement
Do you think a low level staffer whose name Harbaugh probably didn’t even know brought up their crimes in their job interview? Feels like a stretch to put that on Harbaugh. People don’t usually broadcast their illegal activity.
It's somewhat of a "fool me once" thing.
When it happens twice, maybe it means Harbaugh's not properly vetting candidates, maybe he's not paying enough attention to what's happening beneath him.
Maybe it's just a fluke and has no reflection on his leadership, but who's to say for sure.
If the Bears had some kind of preexisting culure or system to protect against these kind of issues I'd say let's take the chance and hope it was just a fluke, but they clearly don't
Are the Bears the type of organization that makes bold, forward thinking moves? We know the answer to that.
You do know this isn't Harbaugh first coaching job nor the first time Bears fans wanted the Bears to hire Harbaugh.
Why do people keep hoping for him?
Harbaugh will never get hired her as long as George McCaskey is running the bears and making the decisions.
If you haven't noticed, he only hires nice guys who suck at their jobs.
I would be so happy if the scandal forced Harbaugh to flee to the Bears
Bears wont Hire Harbaugh... Kevin Warren hates him because of the covid season drama.
I just don’t see the McCaskeys hiring a personality like Harbaugh. He’d also want full control of roster decisions, which puts you in a weird spot with Poles.
I’m all for it though.
NFL Script writers would never allow it.
FUCK HARBAUGH
Ffffvf*. Gg
This would be one of the only options where I’d feel more than apathetic
The guy was on the hot seat about to get fired and since then he’s been a walking dumpster fire.
If you think the Bears are the laughing stock now, wait til he’s running the show.
For anyone not aware, there’s a lot more than just the sign stealing https://theathletic.com/4815874/2023/10/26/football-michigan-jim-harbaugh-ncaa-timeline/?amp=1
