I kinda love these

I'm convinced that the dailymail uses AI to write 90% of their crappy tabloid articles

At least true crime youtubers won't have to bleep half their videos anymore /s

Yeah, so far i noticed two "new" features in Android 16; the Contacts app now lists local weather info and birthdays which is nice I guess and Themed Icons are finally not listed as being in beta anymore...

The rest is AI stuff and features that are of no use to me (which doesn't mean everything's bad but it doesn't feel like a major upgrade; more like a Pixel Feature Drop).

Mhh, the System Update page for 16 on my Pixel is dedicated to AI bullshit, nothing actually useful... Nice

They really need to take more time with major updates, what good is releasing a new version every year when it's just new AI slop?

Those chips look divine... I missed out on having fish and chips at Sydney Harbour unfortunately; had plenty of good meat pies and ginger beer, though.

My weekends are usually exceptionally boring, not by choice mind you (well, I guess it's my choice to do nothing about it, though), and this one's gonna be no different.

I'll just hang out, listen to music and watch stuff.

I love cockies so much, such beautiful birds. Really fucking noisy but pretty cool nonetheless.

No, it feels more like really dense synthetic stuffing.

Makes me think it wasn't really meant for children because it's not really that cuddly, although I don't know if it's always been this way.

Could be; looking at their webstore they definitely sell similar stuff but nothing Aboriginal as far as I can tell.

Actually, I used to have a Kookaburra hand puppet similar to one they're selling but mine was of better quality for sure.... Unfortunately that one was lost to time

First of all, sorry if this really isn't the right spot for this but I figured that maybe some Aussies in here recognise it.

I've had this stuffed frilled-neck lizard since roughly 2006 when a family member brought it back from Australia for me, I know for sure that my brother had a stuffed dinosaur with a similar design on it. According to the tag it was hand made in Australia by "Kurrajong Aboriginal Products". A quick search brought me to a company with the same name that sells child education books and hand made dolls, so the connection is kinda there but I can't be sure; they don't sell stuffed animals (anymore). I'd really like to know if anyone has seen these or even has one.

Here's some pictures I took of it.

When I was in Australia myself a while ago I searched for similar things but couldn't find anything. Even the museum shops I went to only seemed to sell generic Chinese-made stuff, which really is a shame but anyway...

I just came back from a 6 week trip to Australia; spending time with my relatives (some of whom I've never met before or haven't seen in 20 years) and I had a really really really great time. Everyone was so welcoming and just appreciative; I was really overwhelmed by how amazing the whole experience was.

On my flight back I was crying the whole time; I never felt like that before and just couldn't handle my emotions (much to the dismay of the people sitting next to me). Most of all I just didn't wanna return to my dysfunctional family in Germany. It's been my goal to move to Australia for some time now but after this experience I'm determined to move as soon as possible. It's gonna take a lot of figuring stuff out and it won't be easy but I'll make it work.

Just wanted to get that out there I guess.

Edit: if someone happens to have a few tips and pointers for me regarding my plans they would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know how to order or configure the P14s G5 AMD with a OLED display on the German Lenovo site?

The OLED display seems to be NA exclusive apart from a few overpriced offers from third party sites...

Some time ago, I pulled this sticker off our old fridge before we got rid of it and put it onto my PC's side panel (don't ask me why, I guess I thought it looked cool). I don't exactly know where it came from or who put it there, although I suspect it was put there by a Australian relative that was visiting us a long time ago (the Murrumbidgee is a river in NSW, Australia).

Does anyone know the artist or name of this if it even has one? There's no obvious signature that I can see.

Feel free to remove if this isn't allowed.

Edit: I've since found out that this comic strip was actually made by the relative who put it on our fridge. It depicts something that had happened to them; I won't go into it further cause they don't know that I've even posted this here but yeah

I just wanna get to know people and maybe make a few friends. I've tried a bunch of servers over the years, both general and specific ones but it never really worked out I guess? (I'm a pretty awkward person to talk to, maybe that's why^^)
