These takes that qbs are made by coaches is straight up trash. Sure I’ll admit that coaching is important but I’ve even seen people here credit CJ Stroud’s success to coaching. Get out. He came into the league a player. Same with Burrow and Mahomes. Take your dumbass qb takes somewhere else.
I’m not super high on Kmet at all but he’s been a nice blocker in the run game.
Getsy has called some of those plays. Fields typically does well on the first drive when everything is scripted. It’s after the initial drive that he seems to struggle, so I don’t know that it’s a matter or settling in and getting into a rhythm.
We all know that Getsy hasn’t done Fields any favors with the play calling, but he should be better at the things you mentioned than he is right now.

Agreed. They should never draft a quarterback again because it will never work since it didn’t work last time.

The number of people here and on twitter pointing to this game as an indication that Fields is “him” is truly mind boggling. Credit to him for making that big third down throw but this is not a franchise quarterback.
Where are all the good games that he’s won?
