I recently visited the statue of him in Sackville Gardens in Manchester. It's good to see him being remembered.
I've used gen.nvim and codecompanion.nvim, both with a local ollama server running.
I think gen.nvim was a little more straightforward to use, but in general I don't find LLM-aided coding to be that helpful to me.
That's been on my reading list for a while. I'll give it a go, thank you!
Yeah because they're so consistent in applying what's in the scriptures, right?
It sounds like the council received a veiled threat:
Matlock Town Council said it had received communication that the rainbow flag could be "forcibly removed" from outside Cornerstone Christian Bookshop in Dale Road, so action was taken to relocate the flag to another central location to avoid confrontation or damage.
The council said the decision was "purely from a health and safety standpoint" and it stood in "full support of the LGBTQIA+ community".
Stay classy, Christians 🖕🏻
I’ve thought it might be good to wear some kind of church’s shirt or something - I know that police tend to fuck with people who help the homeless, especially in my area.
As someone else mentioned, this might actually work against you.
With regards to police interference, if you feel you are able, it's worth pushing back against it. If it's not against the law where you live, record any interaction with police on your phone, and know your rights regarding stop and search, detainment, etc. Legally resisting this kind of police overreach has a big impact on increasing the safety for other outreach groups and can embolden others to make positive change if they're more confident they're not going to be harassed by police for doing so.
But what font did you want me to read it in?
I've come back to this four times today already. Each time my appreciation grows for how masterfully wrong this is.
The uneven distribution of the slices of Emmental cheese. The chaotic squiggle of Sriracha. The chunks of pineapple balancing on the edge.
You are a genius.
Oh yeah, I just noticed this too!
Ooooh now this is interesting. My first reaction was "hah, yeah exactly!". But then I thought: this image of text contains more information than just the textual content. For example:
- The words are someone else's, not OP's
- They were sourced from a different social media network to this one
Also, it may be due to the prevalence of smartphone use in interacting with Lemmy vs using a traditional computer: it's often quicker and easier to take and share a screenshot of text than it is to select, copy and paste that text.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I just read your comment at the time my morning coffee really hit, and it spawned an interesting chain of thoughts.
So... thank you. And sorry for inflicting this braindump.
Same! Skarsgard was very jarring compared to my mental image of Murderbot.
It's in the Gay Village in Manchester! I can thoroughly recommend going.
