Coach fired after 11 games, 1-10.

Now this team will have a new coach who may or may not want to coach Bryce. Along with that, one of the worst rosters in the NFL. No idea who would even want that job with that owner.

I don’t know if Fields is the answer or if drafting a QB will be, I do know it’s much easier when you build the foundation with good coaching a players. If you swap Bryce and CJ, the panthers are minimally better.

Sure you could say the panthers depleted their roster trading up to get the pick, but this logic would apply conversely in trading down getting more pieces. The Texans already have a good foundation, they were a winning football team with a good QB playing to go to the SB a few seasons ago.

If this team drafts a QB next season, we will be saying the same thing 3-4 years from now.

To start I have been a bears my whole life and have only missed like 5-6 games the past 18 years combined.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I love Justin fields and he’s honestly the only reason I have looked forward to watching the bears the past two seasons. I know he’s not the greatest thrower but he’s so fun to watch. All my years of watching bears football and he is by far the most entertaining qb I have ever seen in a bears uniform. I really hope he can turn it around I think he has all the talent in the world and my biggest dream is seeing us win the super bowl and him holding up the mvp trophy. I really hope he works out guys 😞😞.

At least our coach is better looking than theirs. It’s the small victories my friends.

I keep hearing this statement, I’m just curious if there is an actual video or source where he is caught saying this? Or is this just some hearsay that’s been passed around for ever .

Bears should hire Duce Staley as the RB coach in the off season. Thoughts?

I feel like there are a lot of folks in this sub that need to do this.

Take a hard look in the mirror, and ask yourself:

“Are you a Justin Fields fan, or are you a Chicago Bears fan?”

I don’t care whether you believe he is our long term solution at quarterback or not. But I believe that if some people would do this, it would clear their thought process a little bit.

Bear Down.

I just so happen to be in Chicago for the next few days. Don’t wanna watch the game in my hotel room. I’m in River North near Hubbard, any bar suggestions?

I was watching the Eagles-Bills game yesterday and Leonard Floyd looked really good, better than his 4 years here.

In fact his best season in Chicago was his rookie year, and even his best season here would be his worst season if you compare it to his 2 years on Rams and his 2 years on the Bills.

He was a first round pick, so it’s not like he was some late round talent that needed time to grow. Also, our coaching was good when he was here, we had Fangio for his entire tenure here except for his last season.

I don’t know enough about the game to explain why he wasn’t good on the Bears, but he has had some very noteworthy success since he left here and it’s been for 2 different teams.

Unfortunate to say that Paces first 3 first round picks for the Bears from 2015-17 didn’t stick at all with the team

The Panthers might not win another game until next season. The Bears will probably win a couple more games pushing them out of the top 5. Harrison will not fall out of the top 5. We guarantee ourselves a WR who has a good chance of being the next Jefferson/Chase. DJ Moore and MH would look mighty fine next season. We can spend our actual pick on OL or DL.

By my count, of the 37 QBs taken in Round 1 since 2011, only 8 have been what you can call a success for the team that drafted them, and only 1 sort of lead their team to a Super Bowl win (Wentz, but we all know that Nick Foles did that). That's a 21.6% rate of success. This is why looking for "generational talent" in the first round is a fool's errand. And when applied to this franchise that has shown very little ability to identify and develop QB talent in the draft, it's absolutely moronic.

Anyway, here's my list and Hit/Miss count. Note that there are more "hits" in recent classes b/c we don't know how they'll turn out (Burrow who I love, has 2 season ending injuries, Kyler Murray, one, etc.). I think it's too soon to say anything about 2022 class.

Gather round kids. I still have some wine leftover from Thanksgiving.

Tonight marks the 126th meeting between theBears and Vikings. The Vikings lead the all-time series 66-57-2. The Vikings defeated the Bears 19-13 back in week 6. The Bears are looking to end a 5 game losing skid to the Vikings.

…but ya’ll gotta look at some of the other WRs in this class. There are some absolute dogs at the top of this class. Even if we cannot land MHJ, this is a great time to get one in the draft.

Nabers, Odunze, Coleman & Egbuka are all high end prospects.

There’s also some solid Day 2 prospects.

Is tonight Flus's last game?

Road primetime division game against a backup QB. Offense basically at full strength. Crazy enough to think we might just win tonight.

Not exactly a Bears question but sort of...

Big fan of Mully and Haugh on the Score and Biggsy. He's always greatly informed and entertaining, but his phone clicks every five seconds when on the air with them.

Annoys the crap out of me.

Anyone else ? Or am I just crazy?

Stroud is balling out. He also seems to have some good weapons and O line is solid. With that said , the bears don’t seem to know how to evaluate QBs.

I would go back and not get Moore and Wright for the chance to draft Stroud.

Hindsight is 20/20 but it’s starting to look like Maholmes/Watson all over again

Would any NFL team not as dumb as the Bears give one up for JF1?

I don’t watch Michigan but from an outsiders perspective, it feels like Jim has finally hit his stride in Michigan. Is the sign stealing punishment enough for him to come back to the NFL or are we just dreaming?

Hopefully Kevin Warren runs these asswipes right out of Chicago after this season. Keep Fields, hire Harbaugh and go get MHJ.

I can’t find the post but it was back I think in 2020-21 bears era. We just let fuller walk, failed the Wilson trade sweepstakes and Dalton was our new QB1. But there was a fan on this sub who posted a rant saying he was going to stop supporting this franchise. He said he was sick of all the organizational blunder and is going to cheer for a real franchise with hope and a bright future. He ended the rant with “#boltup”. I often think about a him. The fact that he thought the chargers were gonna be his savior from pain lmao

You can have a great QB, a solid WR1, and a competent running game. But if the coach/defense are trash, it doesn't matter.

Fire Flus, fix the defense, then we can talk about the quarterback. Fields may not be it, but no one would be for this franchise right now.
