I know this sounds heartless, but it's not our responsibility to ensure international students are employed.

At one point in history, international students were only allowed to work on-campus and only for a limited of hours.

The assumption was that they are here on a student visa specifically to learn, not to be employed.

It's a fucked up system because students depend on having jobs in the first place...
