This is what I want. I want to see him playing against good defenses and playing well against them. I'm not sure how he pulls that off though. You don't learn how to get the ball out and pick up on blitzes and secondary schemes in the matter of a few weeks. But he is fighting for his NFL career, so we will see how he is with the back to the wall.

It's easier to do that when you have a serviceable QB already starting and winning games. Also the QB's that could be available in the teens are a guy as old as Fields, and JJ McCarthy.
Then, say "trading our QB while on his rookie contract."
Houston tried to trade up to 1 to get Young themselves.
We've been watching him closely and just don't see it. I'm trying to see special in him but he looks like a very talented college QB that seems to get overly emotional. It seems like everyone is saying he is generational because that is the trendy thing to do. Not to mention the very mediocre stats and play against good defenses. I hope he is the next Mahommes for our sake if we have the first pick, but even Mahommes lit it up in college.
The consolation of not getting the first pick will be MHJ. So it's really a win-win
We need to lose to Arizona for sure. I think our own pick will be between 5 and 8. There is no way we finish worse than Arizona, New York, or New England.
And what's your point? Bagent looks much worse than Fields has and his best game is still the 3 yards a pass game. Fields has two 4 TD games this season, and in his last 2 full starts. Fields has been bad for sure passing the ball, but Bagent hasn't looked close to an NFL starting QB.
Bagent will somehow have a PFF grade of 77.
I think so to a degree. Better QB play and a center probably has us at 5-4. We beat Denver, Minnesota and New Orleans with better QB play.
Someone was watching Tales from the Crypt this Halloween.
He was called a generational talent and warts started to show. No one hates him, but his play overall doesn't scream generational or best since Luck. If we pick first, I think we have to draft him and hope for the best.
