This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.

Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.

MODERATORS

Sure is a wonder why Israel has so many friends from the likes of Bolsonaro and Milei supporters.

Inb4 liberal Zionists find the tweet and talk about how Israel is a pluralistic liberal democracy which needs to let the “right fringe” (ie. The Israeli Overton window) have a voice and that extends to all its overseas supporters.

As if the reactionaries or libs read books. They burn them then listen to pundits who are good with words but have the intellect of a boiled peanut.

There was a point in my life where I made a point of reading reactionary books and magazines so that I could understand the mindset better. But when you're arguing with one IRL, you'll quickly realize that they don't actually read.

"Uh but my reactionary pundit/YouTuber/talk show radio host/TV pundit is speaking truth to power! The communists control society, it's what they tell me every day! No, my beliefs totally aren't in line with the elites and the state department, it's the communists who have the ideology of the elites!!!!1 blob-no-thoughts "

Someone has to be reading "Unwoke" by Ted Cruz

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 38 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's true though. Whenever I think about reading Das Kapital I gasp and drop my flag.

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 37 points 1 year ago

I always gasp when I read an advanced biology book because it affirms that trans people are valid and that always exites me

What history book perchance?

[–] ProletarianDictator@hexbear.net 39 points 1 year ago

They just cite their own moronic notion of "common sense" as if it were backed by some legitimate authority.

At best, their understanding is from 4th grade textbooks that oversimplify so 10 year olds can get a general concept.

probably written in the 1930s or 1940s in the german language

I don’t understand zionists who tell people to read a history book lol. Like, what do they expect the revelation to be? That Israel wasn’t actually mandated by imperialist countries? That Israel didn’t displace a bunch of Palestinians? What from these history books will contradict the whiny college students’ claims, exactly? Or do they mean read the Bible to see why Israelis from New York and the UK deserve to steal Palestinians’ houses?

[–] RamrodBaguette@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago

Remember that when they told Macklemore to do just that, he conceded but then came back even more pro-Palestine?

One of the greatest things to come out of the past six months is widespread realization that israel isn't some bastion of equality in the middle-east but is actually a lightspeed-racist fascist shithole. I'm including myself in this realization btw I didn't actually know their domestic attitudes were that open. They really are just brazen about it.

Does anyone have the original? I’m Brazilian and I haven’t seen that one before so I’m curious

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Someone tried posting a version that didn't have the Palestinian/history book panels in a discord I'm in, luckily the mods there removed it and banned the poster but I'm guessing that would be the original

[–] mamotromico@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

I would imagine that the original would have something else instead of BLM, unless it’s someone terminally online and/or obsessed with the USA (which could be the case, but it’s not that common)
